Anyone come from Canon?
I use Canon Mirrorless at work (R6ii) and shoot Nikon for myself for 10+ years. The canon is nice, for sure, better AF than the Mk 1 and 2 z6's, it can do 4k60 with almost no crop, very capable hybrid. Colors are pretty good, a bit cold overall. Lenses are nice, but the ecosystem is pretty locked of

Them to upgrade to full frame do I stay canon or go sony? (R6 ii vs a7 iii)
I switched from a73 to r6ii. A73 was revolutionary at the time, but its been a long time since and Canon has caught up and new tech is noticably better. Sure you get more lens selection, but IMO, once you get the gear you like, you dont really use a variety of lenses Id rather take better noise redu

Apple iPhone 17 Pro review: Come for the camera, stay for the battery | Ars Technica
My Fujifilm x100iv can get a shot of friends laughing in a way an iPhone simply can’t. Yep. And a phone never will without using AI to generate parts of the photo or correct errors. Your Fuji has a 28mm (diagonal) sensor. the iPhone's is 9.6mm. There's just no feasible way to put a sensor that big o

Second Camera Body
I just upgraded one of my R6 to a R6iii. It definitely is nice, but you'd have to buy some CFexpress cards and the new camera hates batteries that aren't the newest model of LP6. It gives warnings every time you turn on the camera with other real Canon batteries and won't turn on with 3rd party ones

good starter cameras in the 300 dollar range (new/used)
-good for nature shots Almost any camera with a good or OK lens can shoot landscapes in good light. -good for day/night city and building shots Night shooting with good results requires either a very sensitive (expensive and large) sensor or a long exposure from a tripod. Buildings require either e

Which camera to get after being a Canon SLR guy
Hate to say it, but Canon R6ii with a little prime lens and the new Godox IT30pro mini ETTL flash on the adjustable flash riser freaking rocks. I use it for fill and to trigger a big Godox V100 or AD200 off camera key light as needed. The RF 50mm F1.8 stm is as good as the EF 50mm F1.2L when you sto

Make this make sense, GH7 costs more than the full frame S5II
Different use cases. May I remind you the GH5 came out in 2017 for $2k. And the original S5 launched in 2019 also for $2k. You should be comparing it more to the S5IIX. Or idk, like a Canon R6ii to the C70 (except not costing $5.5k, the audacity). One's a hybrid camera with surprisingly robust video

It's M43 Monday! Ask Us Anything about Micro Four-Thirds Photography - all questions welcome!
Currently shoot a Canon R6II mainly shooting my sons junior football (soccer) team both photo and video (only standard 8 bit profile not log). I use an adapted EF 70-200 F4 as I like the lightweight combo and happy with F4. I've contemplated an OM1-II and the 40-150 and 100-400 Has anyone gone from

First upgrade in 5 years….anyone have Sony A7IV + Canon R6 files to play with?
I've had the A7IV and the R6 MkII, for me I prefer the Canon colors. Now if I could only have the Sony lenses.

Did Third Party Lenses Influence Your Camera Choice?
I was about to buy the Nikon Z5ii in part because of lens availability. But in the end I decided on the Canon R6ii, and one of the reasoms was because of the RF 28-70mm F2.8 IS STM. I have been doing more hybrid shooting and the Canon lens is the only fast standard zoom with image stabilization for
