Is this a good photo?
Took this picture of my cat in the garden. I feel like it's a good photo, but keen to receive some critique from people that know a little more than me!

First shooting with a "real" camera
Took it with my new Canon EOS R50 using the 18-45mm kit lens
What so you think? Did I do a good job on it?
I had to lower a bit the light coming from the window in light room but that is basically the only editing I did

Pets photography? visor vs screen
I try using the viewfinder to take more shots (because of the movement), but it’s kind of hard, so I end up using the screen. The problem is that it adds a lot of delay/lag after each photo. Live view on the Nikon D5200 is using a contrast detect autofocus system that is terrible compared to the pha

Should I switch Cameras before it's too late?
Be informed Not influenced. Saying point blank “Sonys are better than Canons” is fanboyism at best, stupidity at worst. Yes, of course an a6700 is better than an r50, because the corresponding model to an a6700 is an r7, not an r50. Compare an r50 against other entry models, a6000 and a6100, you mig

Bought my first camera about a month ago, how can I bing out its full potential? More in details.
I got a Canon EOS R50 double zoom kit as my first real camera and have absolutely loved it and the potential it has. However I feel like I could be better.
In particular I really enjoy doing night photography. It just seems to be hard to properly get the camera to capture night time photos the way

my first year of birding
currently using the canon r50 paried with the RF-800 F/11. as far as telephoto/mirrorless combos its pretty cheap and has given me amazing results. the RF 100-400 is also incredibly good as a budget telephoto lens

Have cameras gotten so expensive everywhere lately?
The Canon 750D was released in 2015 at a list price of €799. That would be over €1000 today. So that R50 is maybe evidence of MORE value for the money now than ever.

Summer 2024
Reminiscing on the photos I captured on my Canon EOS R50. It’s been over a month since we visited and I’ll never forget these views. Spent my birthday here and I couldn’t have asked for anything better - minus my phone getting stolen at the Raley’s in Oakurst, of course 🥲 But Yosemite made up for th

Tomorrow is the big day
Hi everyone, I'm French, I've been living in Mexico for almost 12 years and tomorrow I'm starting the great adventure of photography because I'm going to receive my Canon EOS R50. I know it's not the best performing camera, but from what I've read, this camera is perfect for upgrading from phone pho

Should I switch Cameras before it's too late?
As a Sony shooter, my advice is to pay close attention to those telling you that Sony is better than Canon at car photography. Note their names, and unsubscribe from their youtube channels and instagram feeds because they are full of shit and their advice is questionable. And certainly, selling an R
