Canon R50 V as a Cinema Camera.
Feels like everything they’re doing should’ve been done five years ago. As a happy C70 owner, who just needs a good B cam/photo camera that won’t break the bank and also shoots the same profiles as the C70, it’s honestly infuriating how embarrassing Canon’s hybrid offers are. For video shooters or e

Workflows for colour matching Sony FS7/Canon R5C with Sony FX3 footage?
Matching the R5C to the FX3 will cost you significantly more post time than the FS7 option. Canon Cinema Gamut + Canon Log 2/3 is quite different colour science from Sony S-Log3 — skin tones in particular sit in very different places. FS7 vs FX3 is a much more manageable match. Both Sony S-Log3, and

Sony fx30 vs Canon r5c vs Blackmagic 6K
R5C is bad, lots of noise in the shadows, harder to use. It's a stills camera masquerading as a video camera. C70 is one of canons best sensors. That DGO is actually really nice

Canon EOS VR utility not recognizing old MP4 footage.
Weird I have an odd recollection of being able to edit the mp4s? Because these specific ones were not shot in crm anyways so I just have the mp4s. Maybe my brain is just mixing it with the R7 & 3.9mm lens combo because I’ve been using that for the past few months & it ofcourse is all MP4’s. So you d

Finally: 8K VR180 content that actually does justice to Galaxy XR
Ah, OK. Unfortunately until recently all VR180 videos are too fuzzy looking. All VR180 cameras don't have enough resolution to produce sharp enough footage. Even output from Canon R5/R5C cameras with 5.2mm dual fisheye lens looks softer than a 2D output from any cheapo phone. Only recent BlackMagic

Best shutter speed for slomo. (To avoid light flicker)
It is frustrating. But I imagine it is not an oversight. I imagine it's a misguided ploy to sell their (c) suffix mirror less cameras, the r5C etc. They are the only ones (I think) that allow shutter angle as opposed to shutter speed. In the canon line (obviously their cinema cameras do).

Having a very difficult time getting C-Log3 (R5C) footage to look even remotely decent. What could I be doing wrong?
Ya'll don't understand if the starting point is this bad it's not even worth grading. I have an R5C and i'm struggling so hard to get things right with CST's and stuff... Only good results im able to get is to manually delog with curves. Also the reds seem massively oversaturated every time. I'm sho

Camcorder or camera? R5C or XF605? What’s the difference?
That’s what I was wondering. Like I’m not constantly holding the camera to get action and artsy shots or running around the property. I’m capturing static shots on a tripod. So I don’t need something light and ergonomic. So that was my thought, use case. So that was my thought, cinema cameras for ru
