What’s the definition of dead? Canon stopped making lenses - yeah then it’s dead. However I think the quality of the sensors is still good enough for 2026 and they are so incredibly portable. The little EF-M lenses are pretty good. I bought my M100 with the plan to adapt EF lenses but it’s so much n

Hey. Welcome! I'd suggest to learn the basics, and then see what attracts your attention. That will change which lenses you need. I took some courses and then went with what I enjoy. Also, the M50 is capable of producing gorgeous pictures, but it will require interesting light for that. It is a very

See if you can get a hold of a canon M50, R50 or V1 These are entry level that can achieve a pretty mind blowing level of quality. And the kit lenses are solid on these.

Yes, it’s ‘dead’ BUT there are still companies making native EFM lenses for them. I’d say it’s ‘dead’ like the EOS, Canon FD, M39, M42 mounts… lens mounts that are still popular and being used (and adapted) to modern cameras. As someone who uses an M6 MK II for personal use and whose office has a bu

The Sony FDR-AX43 and Canon EOS M50 Mark II (no longer sold new the new model is the R50)From skimming through her video it seems the Sony is used when she's out and about outdoors and the Canon is used indoors. The Sony would be good for zooming in out fast as well as easy to carry might last longe

where are you people coming from ???!?!!?!?!? I have heard this argument 1000 times, you can buy a cheap DSLR or even new mirrorless and 3 lenses with the money you need for a flagship phone. A small form factor camera from Sony, Canon even Fuji costs about £300-£1000 depending if new or second hand

I actually went with the Canon EF 70-300mm IS USM for wildlife stuff and it's been solid. Had mine for like 3 years now and no issues with AF or stabilization. The Tamron might give you slightly better image quality in some situations, but Canon's reliability is worth the trade-off when you're out i

If you're just looking for vlogging type shots, then yeah an osmo action 6 would be perfect. Personally I like to have a setup that can be ready for any type of shot so if you're the same way I think investing in a lower end mirrorless camera wouldn't be a bad idea. I got a used canon m50 mk2 for $3

your setup sounds amazing and those creators are great inspiration for the aesthetic you want for camera i would recommend looking at canon m50 mark ii or sony a6000 series - both work really well for overhead shots and the image quality is much better than older phones. for lighting you definitely

Lots saying Sony is best because there are more lenses. I like my canon EOS m50 mark ii, which came out in 2020 and you can pick up a body for like $500 or less. It takes really nice photos. everyone says is a “dead” line because no new lenses are coming out for it. But how many lenses do we really
