What’s an expensive brand that actually IS worth the money?
Next time you walk through an airport, take note of now many pilots and flight attendants have bags from Briggs and Riley. It’s a lot. These people fly more than anyone else and if they didn’t hold up, they wouldn’t be buying them.

Is there such thing as a “professional” backpack?
professional? yes. feminine? maybe not. Tumi, MZ Wallace, and Briggs & Riley all have good backpack options. I wear my Briggs and Riley to court and depositions all the time.

I need a new carry on, I will also be applying to the airlines soon! Any recommendations that can fit both my needs to travel but also as an FO?
Unpopular opinion but here goes anyway. This is a terrible option for actual traveling. It’s heavy with weird dimensions. There is a good reason why none of our business travelers (many of whom travel almost a much as us) use luggage works bags. If doing any sort of travel on international carriers

Suggestions for someone that is starting to fly for work.
I've been doing 150-175 flights a year for like 5 years now. For me, the club card is worth it, as I live in an out station, and I use the United club at least 50 times a year (I often use it just for the clean bathrooms on my way to the next gate). To be clear, I currently get club access for mysel

Anyone else have trouble mounting a Peak Design Capture clip to their bag?
My brother in law is a machinist and when he looked at my other clip screw he said they used the wrong type and the head had a large amount of force on it which lead to the head shearing off. When I had the zipper replaced at my local mountaineering shop they indicated the zipper wasn’t as heavy dut

What’s the best “luxury” purchase you’ve made that was actually worth every penny?
Good luggage. My Tumi and Briggs & Riley bags still going strong and looking great after almost 20 years and hundreds of flights.

Briggs & Riley or Tumi?
Tumi is an overpriced Samsonite subsidiary which means their price point doesn’t reflect their average bag quality. Montblanc is also ridiculously overpriced and if you compare them with Briggs & Riley, I’d say Briggs & Riley is more functional and durable (albeit perhaps not as ‘aesthetic’). You co

Best “work out of” bag
If you want to flex when you walk into the leadership meeting and don't mind spending $$, tumi makes an outstanding office bags. You can find some nice used ones on ebay. Serial numbers starting with 7 are top quality. Starting with 8 are your made for Costco type version with lesser quality. I trav

What are the best Luggages for the Frequent Flyer
I travel nearly 300 days a year and only use Tumi (soft side alpha suitcase) and Briggs & Riley (slim backpack). Carry on 99% of the time. Both have well over 1,000 flights on them in 5 years, have been beaten to hell and still look incredible.

Briggs & Riley Large Cargo Backpack as Personal Item
This one? https://www.briggs-riley.com/products/large-cargo-backpack-1. The specs are 18.75 x 16 x 8.75 in / 47.6 x 40.6 x 22.2 cm, 3.6 lbs / 1.6 kg. Air Canada person item limits: 16 x 33 x 43 cm (6 x 13 x 17 inches). That’s a fail on 3/3 dimensions and it’s as heavy as a Farpoint 40. Thr issue is
