Please give me a reason NOT to buy a Breville Barista Pro

Worked in the kitchen retail store before and a few months ago the barista pro along with the regular older Oracle touch and precision Brewer showed up on the list for items eventually going out. Unless things have changed recently. Reason for? I wish I could tell you. I personally think Breville re

What are your experiences with longevity with higher end Oracle machines?

Have a 6 year old Oracle Touch that started to pop our GFCI outlet, likely due to leak. Replaced the orings and steam probes, which did not fix the issue. Seems to be a problem with the steam broiler. Loved the machine so much we replaced it with an Oracle Jet....little bit of a side grade IMO, but

Which espresso machine is best for lattes and americanos? [$1000]

If you aren't turned off by Breville, the bambinos are great! It's way cheaper than the Oracle touch, and in Vancouver there's always someone selling one. And the website eightouncecoffee.ca sells grinders, I have a baratza esp from them which works great for espresso and cold brew.

My $500 “starter” Breville Barista Express espresso machine cost me $20,000

Happy for you, bought the Oracle touch in 2020, I had to send twice for repair on warranty, then I spent 500$ last year on a local shop to repair it, again (the most incredible thing is that i got completely stuck because I tried to descale it, and air bubbles got in, stayed in the hose and I could

After 18 years of Brevilles that break every 4 years, I got my 50th birthday setup (to myself, ahem) finally in place!

The Brevilles are a consumer grade product with a lot of features. I went through quite a process with them on an Oracle Touch that went in for service like 4 times, was replaced, then the replacement went in and as that started to shit the bed a few months back I'd finally had enough, it was out of

BDB died... replaced with a... BDB

That white color is awesome! I got my Oracle Touch in matte black, also looks really nice, but if they had white I‘d have taken that. (But I guess after the failing boiler sensors that broke my machine after 1 1/2 years and it being an unavoidable problem that will eventually kill every machine I‘m

Breville Oracle Touch - loud noises when not powered on then nothing and not heating.

FYI - I'm going through a similar issue with an Oracle Touch. In looking at your picture, you have steam leaks. If those haven't been addressed, you'll most likely be replacing the triac board again in the near future. From what I've found, the most common source of the leaks are the steam probes. T

Repair help needed [Breville Oracle Touch]

I just got a similar quote from Breville for our Oracle Touch, except 7 hose connectors. I was pretty sure it was the solenoid amongst other things. How were you able to negotiate a lower price for the labor? I have followed the care and cleaning instructions since we bought it, and I believe the so

Best at home coffee machine recommendations

Yup I would save to buy a Jura too. We had an oracle touch - made fab great coffee WHEN it worked but it was in the repair shop a lot (annually) despite caring for it and repairs were being quoted at $700!!! The grinder on the Breville was so damn noisy too. The Jura is far quieter and faster to hea
