The Oracle Touch; is this "good"? [Maintenance]

BEFORE YOU DESCALE THE ORACLE TOUCH Make sure your boiler water sensors are working. Brevtech has a guide on this. Its a common issue to blow thermal fuses from descaling and brick the machine from an owners point of view. This also varies based on model. Do a little homework before trying to descal

People still enjoying their Oracle Jets?

Not the Oracle Jet, but it's big brother, the Breville Oracle Touch... I bought it last November from a major store chain, replacing a Breville that ran for 10 years before dying. I did not like it from about Day 1. I was used to a machine you switch on, and it good to go within seconds. The Oracle

My $500 “starter” Breville Barista Express espresso machine cost me $20,000

Happy for you, bought the Oracle touch in 2020, I had to send twice for repair on warranty, then I spent 500$ last year on a local shop to repair it, again (the most incredible thing is that i got completely stuck because I tried to descale it, and air bubbles got in, stayed in the hose and I could

After 18 years of Brevilles that break every 4 years, I got my 50th birthday setup (to myself, ahem) finally in place!

The Brevilles are a consumer grade product with a lot of features. I went through quite a process with them on an Oracle Touch that went in for service like 4 times, was replaced, then the replacement went in and as that started to shit the bed a few months back I'd finally had enough, it was out of

Sage Oracle Touch stuck in warm-up mode

Descale these machines is tricky and require prep before hand outside what Brevilles standard instructions are. This is a really common failure after descale. Theres multiple things it could be. You'll have to go through Brevtechs check list on diagnosis Or if youre not comfortable with diy repair/c

Best at home coffee machine recommendations

Yup I would save to buy a Jura too. We had an oracle touch - made fab great coffee WHEN it worked but it was in the repair shop a lot (annually) despite caring for it and repairs were being quoted at $700!!! The grinder on the Breville was so damn noisy too. The Jura is far quieter and faster to hea

Oracle Jet - BUYER BEWARE

I can relate to issues with Breville in general. Despite having multiple machines (Barista Pro, Oracle, Touch and now Jet) half of them were serviced within first year of ownership. That said, never had an issue with getting a machine swapped. Have you tried to escalate to social media? Usually that

Just got a Moccamaster KGBV - looking for a grinder recommendation

I use the moccamaster grinder and it’s been awesome. The reviews about the grinds being messy is blown out of proportion. It’s nothing crazy, my Breville oracle touch makes more grind messes than the moccamaster grinder lol so…. I am very happy with it and the consistency of grinds and quality

Oracle touch vs. Oracle jet at same price point?

I have both in separate houses. I’ve been at one house for 8 months and came back to the Touch and had forgotten about how it has to heat up before using. For 2-4 mins at most, but experiencing the jet and not having to wait, is making me want to go and buy a second Jet for here and sell the Touch.
