Am I wrong when I say a lot of new technology isn't useful at all? If I'm not wrong then why is it being created then?

They work amazingly well actually. You probably just bought a crap machine. Pressure and flow of your home water system aren't relevant for an espresso machine. The interior boiler fills up with water while its on to some degree, or you can fill it manually. Espresso machines have their own boilers

Feedback wanted

Came from a Breville Oracle touch - which is a BDB with a fancy interface for the most part. I've owned many machines from lever to superautos over the last ~30 years. No regrets except maybe where I bought it - I'd suggest Clive based on feedback/comments. The steam works just fine for me, it might

Breville Oracle Jet

Well....I took the plunge yesterday. Jumped on the Jet train. I was looking at this, Jura's, and the Oracle Dual Boiler. Ultimately, I decided to do something I dont always do, and make the budget conscious decision. It's too early for a complete review. But its slightly smaller than the Oracle Touc

Making Espresso at Home (First Machine) [$1k USD]

ok so ill let you in on a little secret. All Breville machines are essentially the same. The Dual-Boiler models will give you a more traditional cafe experience with a 58mm basket and the ability to steam milk and pull espresso at the same time, but they all use a combination of the same grinders or

When is it Worth Buying an Espresso Machine - Ever?

If you drink a latte running 6 a day for 5 days out of the week you're burning though 30 a week plus tips. That's 120 a month That's 1440 a year. My breville oracle touch was used and abused. I got it and fixed it up for 600. I drink a latte or two a day and have had it for over 3 years now. So with

I come from a Keurig and I'm sitting on some "free" Christmas money. I'm thinking about buying an espreso machine but I'm wary that it won't be worth the cost.

So many weird replies. An espresso machine is worth it and might actually save you money in the long run, even when you buy better beans. If you don’t want this to become a hobby, get one of the better breville machines, that have an okay grinder attached. Those will guide you to a good espresso. Sh

Is there a semi-auto espresso machine that will help dial in for you? [No Budget]

The Breville impress machines up to the oracle touch sort of do the tuning for you in terms of a certain amount of water in a certain amount of time. But the important thing to understand is that this timing guideline is just a guideline. Its not supposed to be the end goal. Its to get you in the ge

Eureka atom touch 65 or Df64?

sorta bumping this chain back up for follow-up. I have the DF64. It is my first grinder after the one built into the Breville Oracle Touch. I enjoy the single dosing for how it keeps the beans more fresh than when they are all dumped into the hopper. However, I kinda always had in the back of my min
