What’s the best bang for your buck: espresso machines [2024]
used gaggia classic pro is prob the best bang for buck imo. built like a tank, easy to mod later if u get obsessed, and holds resale value. paired with a decent grinder it’ll easily give you real espresso without spending breville dual boiler money. for something simpler, the breville bambino or bam

It’s not sexy, but I love my Breville Dual Boiler.

Upgrading from Bambino Plus: Need a machine that won't "give up" during back-to-back milk drinks [Budget $1500]
You probably want a dual boiler and your budget is right at the starting point of those. Look at the Breville Dual Boiler and the Lelit Elizabeth.

Which espresso machine represents the point of diminishing return for you?
Breville Dual Boiler. 58mm. PID. Temp control. Decent Pressure gauge. If you get clever with the preinfusion settings you can have a ton of control of pressure etc. Probably not the sexiest choice but serious bang for the buck.

Which Espresso machine should I buy that actually lasts?
Stop putting them in the hydraulic press. Clean them occasionally. What the Hell are you doing to “go through” an appliance that should outlive you in a year? I’m using a Breville Dual Boiler that’s about 12-15 now; I’m not its first owner and I think not its second. I replaced the o rings last year

Any reason to pick Profitec Move over the Breville Dual Boiler? [2000€]
The end result will probably be more or less the same, drink-wise. The Breville is good value with lots of features with a great user community for mods and what not. I started looking for an upgrade about a month ago for my aging (but perfectly functioning and nearly 10-year old) Breville Duo Temp

I think the people commenting on the plastic are forgetting that this machine's only real competitor from a price and features standpoint is the Breville Dual Boiler, which is also all plastic. Even something like the Rancilio Silvia Pro X is $500 more than this machine. We'll see how this thing hol

Rate my set up?
You know it's funny we must think alike, because I was going to go with almost this exact set up after researching haha. I think the Breville Dual Boiler is the best Breville to go for as far as Breville's go. It allows you to temperature control the water, nice dual boiler for milk and it has push
