How much of an upgrade is a Profitec Go or Rancilio Silvia over a Bambino? Other best options in this price range? [$1200]

I have been using a Breville Barista Touch for about a year and a half. I just found a good deal on a used Profitec Go so I decided to upgrade. Night and day difference for me. And folks say the grinder matters most, but I’m still using the built in grinder from the Touch until my new grinder ships

What is the one purchase you have made under €500 that has changed your life?

I'm in the US and the brand is called Breville, but it's exactly the same, just called Sage in Ireland. It depends on your level of commitment. Personally I went with the Bamino Plus and got a half decent grinder (DF54 or Baratza Encore). The Bambino or Bambino Plus are more entry level, compared to

Switched from single dosing to a Mahlkönig E65 GBW… I don’t think I’m going back.

I'm probably in the minority in this subreddit. But I got a used breville barista touch for the built in grinder convenience. Used a scale to dial in the grind time and weighed output until I got just over 2:1 and then didnt bother with th scale afterwards

Which Breville to Buy? [$800 Budget]

A general rule of thumb is that grind quality is more important than the espresso machine. I owned the Breville Barista Touch for about 6 months before I upgraded because of this fact. The machine was great EXCEPT for the grinder. All Breville machines use a CONICAL grinder, which is so-so. A much b

Which Breville to Buy? [$800 Budget]

I had the Breville Barista Touch for three years up until a year ago and it was a great machine. The grinder is a bit inconsistent in dose which made it hard to get consistent shots. Primary issue for me was that the “grind by time” doesn’t yield the same amount from shot to shot and I had to weigh

Want to buy my first espresso machine. [~350 max]

My Breville barista touch is my first one and I can’t even imagine buying a coffee from specialty coffee shop. Breville Bambino plus or Banbino is a great entry point. Buy one lightly used on eBay and don’t be afraid to start with the built in grinder. You will eventually upgrade and that’s okay.

Is the nice zero really such an amazing grinder?

I still use the built in grinder from my Breville barista touch. Is the Niche something I should consider to step up my game? Is it or any other separate grinder worth it considering to my tastebuds the one with the Breville seems fine. Thanks.

How much better is the 064s grinder vs the grinder on my Breville Touch?

I have a Breville Barista Touch (first espresso machine) and a Niche Zero and Niche Duo. It's a massive difference. I usually use the Zero for espresso for milk drinks. And I use the Niche Duo (filter burrs) for Aeropress. However... if you drink primarily milk drinks, you might not be able to taste

If cash wasn’t an issue- would you recommend this as a beginner machine

Yeah it’s a very simple machine to use. You’ll just need a good grinder since the Breville is just barely adequate. I used a Breville Barista Touch for 8 years before I found its limits.
