New KF8 showed up covered in coffee grounds...

I went down this rabbit trail last month. After browsing this sub, I learned that it’s the grinder, not the espresso machine, that makes good espresso. I got the Breville Bambino Plus (on sale right now for $400) + a Eureka Libra 65 AP ($750). In terms of automatic, it depends how you define that. M

Would the Breville Barista Touch be a good Gift for Wife? [$1,000]

I would recommend Barista Pro over the Touch. Although they are similar machines, the Pro has less automation than the Touch, making manual adjustments to dial in easier to access on the Pro. It also costs $150 less. Even better would be separate espresso machine and grinder. If your wife worked at

Anyone tried the new WMF Espresso Pro? [1000€]

So what's with the downvotes on most of the comments? The common "wisdom" of this sub is: get a high tier grinder, a cheap espresso machine and avoid all in one solutions. If €1000 is your budget, you'll be able to find a suitable combo! As for this machine: you could've expected the reactions just

Inconsistent shots, getting fed up with this machine

Well done, Matty. It's Ninja, it should be great, but there are clearly problems, and for me is what you alluded to on the Sage/Breville Barista Touch, too many options, which has resulted in me calling it a 'Jack of All Trades' machine, but sadly it's proving to be a Master of None.

Barista Touch Impress Update?

Kind of older thread, but I JUST bought a barista touch impress last week with the sole intention of having the cold brew options and I don’t have it. The box even shows it on there but I don’t have any of the options. B1.9 is the firmware but I don’t understand how it can be advertised and not be o

Very Disappointed in my new machine... Please Help

I've struggled making good balanced cups with my Sage / Breville Barista Touch as well! I found several things: The integrated grinder produces varied results and get me different brew times and flavors from cup to cup. I bought an IMS Big Bang precision basket, for the same reasons as you. It was m

New beans - dialing in

I have a Breville Barista Touch and don’t think it’s keeping its pressure consistently throughout the shot. The profitec just sounds more well built, which we all know they are in different leagues. Great shot!

Pretty proud of this!

I'm starting to think Breville machines all have spray out issues. My Barista Touch had the same issues. Even after getting different portafilters and baskets, I still got spray out. I think if you adjust for a more coarse grind, you could cut that down.

Is the La marzocco really worth it? [no budget]

What don't you like about your Barista Touch that you would want to improve on with a LM? The answer to that question will go a long way to helping you define "worth it". For most people with Breville machines with built-in grinders, the best upgrade path is to use their budget for a really nice gri
