Profitec go vs breville barista touch [$1200 max]

Profitec go and it’s not even close. The profitec go is such a complete single boiler machine. And it’s a machine, not an appliance. Breville barista touch is more of an appliance.

What would you do?

Idk what everyone’s on about with the quality. Plastic is not inherently bad when done correctly. I’m not going to sit here and say it’s my ideal choice, but I’ve owned a dozen different machines from $600 to $2400 and I’d say the build quality on the ES1 is actually impressive. Granted, I have my c

Morning Routine

Yeah you're about a week in. Beans are drinkable like 48 hours after roast date but you have a nice light roast there. Light roasts can take 3-5 weeks to completely off gas. If you have more beans or other beans, let these beans sit for another week at least. Another thing you'll notice right away i

Having second thoughts on the La Marzocco Linea Micra [$4,500]

It’s better than your breville barista touch. You’re only hesitant because you’re about to purchase it. Once you buy it, you won’t give a damn about the clearance. Which by the way, is not a problem at all. I have the micra, and I love it every little bit that I can’t even find the time to complain.

Barista Express - Grinder Clutch Kicking Constantly, Loud Noise... It Really Can't Handle Medium Light Roast Coffee!?

Hey, I’m dealing with something very similar with the Breville Barista Touch, and I’m also on my second unit. Timeline: Nov 14, 2025: Purchased on Amazon (Barista Touch). Nov 16, 2025: First machine delivered. On this first unit, the grinder started engaging the clutch / making strange loud noises,

The new setup: Profitec Move + Mazzer Philos (I189D)

I've only experienced the Breville Barista Touch as my other espresso machine, so that's what I know. The Move compared to the BBT is miles and away much better quality. It feels prosumer, whereas the BBT felt staunchly consumer. The espresso from the Move tastes so good with such great body, but th

New beans - dialing in

I have a Breville Barista Touch and don’t think it’s keeping its pressure consistently throughout the shot. The profitec just sounds more well built, which we all know they are in different leagues. Great shot!

[Breville Barista Impress Touch, No Power]

Unplug the machine and plug it back in. I had the same issue with our Barista Touch (and a Breville toaster with the same button). Sometimes the button stops responding but unplugging and plugging it back in seemed to resolve it. But it inevitably happens again in weeks/months.

Startup Error 05

UPDATE: It's late 2025 and my machine threw up this error code and I came here looking for solutions. At this time, Breville and their preferred partner website are completely out of stock of SP0024387 with no ETA of of the product. I also did not want to spend $100 buying it on ebay because we don'

Great editing and hilarious finish. Whenever my Breville Barista Touch dies beyond repair, I want that Lelit.
