Does milk mask the nuance of good vs bad espresso? [$1000]
I have a Breville Barista pro, and I get milk drinks better than 90+% of cafes (to my tastes) out of it, and thats with an integrated grinder which this sub generally doesn’t like at all. I also love the straight espresso that i can get out of my machine, it's balanced and I don't find I have that m

Two month review with the Oracle Jet
I’ve had a Barista Express, Barista Pro and now have used an Oracle Jet since March 1, 2026. This is definitely my favorite iteration of the Brevilles and I would absolutely buy it again. The good: It’s mostly automatic. You already know that. But there is a tremendous convenience in teeing it up to

Looking to ditch the daily café run — is Breville worth it and can home espresso actually match café quality?
I started with a Breville Barista Pro. There’s a significant learning curve but yes the end result can be as good or better than your local coffee shop if you use decent beans. The maths for a coffee (double shot with milk) at home is about $1.20-1.80 so it’s a huge saving that can cover start up co

Shout out to Breville - Honoring warranty on a 25 month old Barista Pro
By the time I got my return approved (steam cycle dying on Breville Barista Pro), I was about 26 months after purchase. They didn’t provide a box for shipping, but they did pay for it, so whatever. And mine took closer to 2 weeks to make it back home. I was really glad they covered it under warranty

Need help dialing in on 58mm [Lelit Bianca v3]
If you’re doing 1:2 in 24 seconds, especially for light roast, you will probably be getting some sprays because that’s a somewhat fast shot. I would say that’s very normal and if it taste good roll with it. I have the same machine and do feel I get more sprays than my old Breville Barista Pro, but i

Steam wand keeps stopping
I have a Breville Barista Pro that started acting up in the fall. It was similar to yours; start strong, but die out partway through the steam cycle. Usually the second time would go longer and would actually get the milk hot enough. Eventually, it started making a horrible noise when recovering fro

What espresso machine did you start on, and would you recommend it to a beginner today?
Breville Barista Pro. Solid machine that does all of the basics and doesn't need to warm up before being able to pull a shot. I made some upgrades to it as I learned what I was doing and understood the value of the upgrades (switched to a single dose hopper, upgraded my tamper, portafilter, and milk

Looking for machine recommendations [<$1000]
Breville barista pro, not express (no thermo-jet, no Baratza Burrs), not Bambino (non-adjustable fixed temp). Advantages of the Barista pro are: Baratza burrs, 3 sec heat-up time, adjustable temps good enough for light roast, Breville thermo-jets have relativity consistent temp stability as proven b

Buying Advice - Replacing dead Barista Express [£Budget]
I got the Elizabeth after much research. I was looking at the Apartmento, Rancilio Sylvia Pro X, Breville Dual Boiler and even the Bianca. It replaced my Barista Pro and I have been very happy with the machine. The only drawbacks are the wimpy steam knob and the water tank. I made a new steam knob o
