Is Breville a good or bad place to start for a beginner? [$1000]

I have the Breville Barista Pro (similar machine), I love it. Got it at TJ Maxx for 50% off and have no complaints, makes a great espresso. Grinder is perfectly fine too. I’m not an espresso nerd by any means, I just want a good shot, and it does exactly that once you get it dialed in.

Does milk mask the nuance of good vs bad espresso? [$1000]

I have a Breville Barista pro, and I get milk drinks better than 90+% of cafes (to my tastes) out of it, and thats with an integrated grinder which this sub generally doesn’t like at all. I also love the straight espresso that i can get out of my machine, it's balanced and I don't find I have that m

Should I get next week or wait for Black Friday sales

I've owned this machine. The built in grinder can't grind fine enough for proper espresso with only 8 settings. Absolute shit house, I finally upgraded to a breville barista pro after 3 long painful years and it's life changing. The built in grinder can actually grind fine enough for Esresso, I will

Very Disappointed in my new machine... Please Help

Sorry you are having such a hard time, as a BBP owner (upgrading imminently), I know how hard this can be. Based on all the information you gave in the post and comments, it sounds like to me like you are overloading the basket with the 21g, which could lead to consistent under-extraction and foul s

Air BnB provided this beauty and nothing else

I have a breville barista pro and a keurig in my Airbnb. I include a QR code to a short tutorial, a bag of fresh beans from my favorite local roaster, and some Kirkland brand whole milk boxes (the juice box horizontally style ones) in the fridge. I get so many great reviews around the espresso machi

How much of an upgrade will this be? [$1000]

Dont know about the machine, as I am still using my barista pro. But the DF64 I have and it was a solid upgrade. I would just get the grinder tbh. Once I got the DF64+Breville Pro combo, my shots are quite close to my local shops espresso. Within 10-15% range which is plenty close until I really wan

Two month review with the Oracle Jet

I’ve had a Barista Express, Barista Pro and now have used an Oracle Jet since March 1, 2026. This is definitely my favorite iteration of the Brevilles and I would absolutely buy it again. The good: It’s mostly automatic. You already know that. But there is a tremendous convenience in teeing it up to

Am I cooked? New office comes with a fancy coffee machine

I got a Varia VS6 for my birthday after being perfectly content with the Breville Barista Pro's integrated grinder for years... and now I'm fully in free fall into dual boiler reviews, just got a Normcore V4 (should be arriving later today), and the taste I'm getting from the same local beans is lik

Products that are Worth Spending Money On?

Breville Barista Pro. I know, I know everyone says that you need a separate grinder to get the best espresso, but I wanted to dip my toes into the water before I fully committed. I've had it for about a year and love it. I'll probably upgrade in a few years. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/breville-the

Low shot temperature [Breville Barista Pro]

Iirc thermo block machines like Breville need resistance to get the set temp. Even a PID controlled machine that is pumping 93 degrees does not mean you will get espresso at 93 degrees. If your shot is too sour grind finer, use a longer ratio or increase your dose. I used to own a BBP and found when
