What purchase felt expensive at the time but was completely worth it?

Literally came here to say this. Breville too. Barista Pro. 7 years and counting. I still get takeaway coffees, but only one or two here or there, rather than all of them.

First machine - [$750] - low maintenance?

Breville Barista Pro. I used mine for years, works great, easy to maintain. It tells you on the screen when you have to scale and flush it, so you can't forget.

I just want a simple, daily driver espresso setup at home [$700]

You’re right, they are using $6,000 grinder (jk) but they are probably using a commercial grinder and it’s probably around 3k or more. If you don’t want a fussy grinder do not get a df. If you are going for more traditional espresso and want simple efficiency, go with a eureka grind by time, dial it

Is it worth paying $500 for the Profitec RIDE over the MOVE? [$3,000]

Two cents from someone on a similar journey as OP's, who just bought a Profitec RIDE (incidentally, that crapped out after a week due to an electronics issue) as an upgrade from Breville Barista Pro: There is a learning curve moving from a saturated grouphead-style machine to an E61 machine. The wor

I'm in need of a new coffee machine!

Definitely go with a Breville. They are very reliable and there’s heaps of videos on YouTube to learn from. I have the Breville Barista Pro and love it. They regularly come on sale.

Why my coffe always taste too bitter or too sour ? [Breville Barista Express / MiiCoffee Grinder]

I have the Barista Pro and I always use 18 grams. Never had issues, it's actually the recommended dose for the breville.

Looking to ditch the daily café run — is Breville worth it and can home espresso actually match café quality?

I started with a Breville Barista Pro. There’s a significant learning curve but yes the end result can be as good or better than your local coffee shop if you use decent beans. The maths for a coffee (double shot with milk) at home is about $1.20-1.80 so it’s a huge saving that can cover start up co

Shout out to Breville - Honoring warranty on a 25 month old Barista Pro

By the time I got my return approved (steam cycle dying on Breville Barista Pro), I was about 26 months after purchase. They didn’t provide a box for shipping, but they did pay for it, so whatever. And mine took closer to 2 weeks to make it back home. I was really glad they covered it under warranty

What purchase felt expensive at the time but was completely worth it?

Gotta say my Breville Barista Pro has been one of the best things I brought. Its already paid for itself and the quality is great even though its not the top of the line model.

I'm in need of a new coffee machine!

I used to have the Breville Barista Express and upgraded to the Barista Pro a few years ago. It’s currently on sale and is basically $1k at Farmers right now. Love it. I used to be in an office that had a Delonghi La Specialista machine. Kept breaking down and being out of action. My current office
