St Ali wide awake beans
I didn’t have the $$ to buy a machine worth $1000’s. I went to buy a more auto one and the sales woman was great and recommended the Breville BEI as I’d get a better coffee. I have loved trying out all the different coffees my subscription has sent. It’s really opened my eyes. Amending grinds, tempe

Breville / Sage to Micra - first thoughts
Sold my Breville (Sage) Barista Express Impress during the holiday season after caring for it for 2 years. Agree the inconsistency and lack of steam power was annoying. Great starter machine, though. I debated long and hard on going with single dose vs. hopper grinder. Finally went with a Mazzer Phi

Profitec Go vs El Rocio Manus? [$1200-$1700]
Manus S. I am using it and click of knob, I can change brew temperature, pre-infusion time, pressure and even has built in flow control (by pump). It’s not perfect machine but this is my endgame machine. Good enough for me. Yes. I want to control more precisely like wendougee data but the price…. It

Can't decide between a dual boiler or heat exchanger? [4000€]
No issues. As I said before I’m not fastest person to make coffee. Here is my process. Turn on my machine. Let it heat. My machine can reach temperature about 12min but I just let it heat for 20min. It does not bother me at all because I did exactly same thing with my Breville barista express impres

(trying again for mods🙄) Getting Married. Best Electric Grinder to Most Affordable Grinder? [budget varies]
I love my Baratza Sette 270 for what it’s worth. I mostly do espresso but it can grind much more coarsely. I currently keep decaf beans in the grinder on my Breville Barista Express Impress and use the Sette 270 for my daily beans. The Sette 270 is loud but consistent. I’ll mirror what a lot of peop

I’m just lost [500-1500k]
This is a sub of hobbyists with much higher standards than you have. You need to take the advice that actually applies to your goals. You don’t need an “excellent shot,” as defined by a hobbyist, you need to match coffee shop quality (which isn’t usually that great). Don’t over think it. I have a br

Breville Barista express impress vs Touch impress [$1500]
Honestly it’s totally up to individual….. Before I get into coffee things… To me, coffee is coffee type person. Coffees were surviving tool to awake from morning hahaha. My wife made coffees for me. One day… my wife said she wants Breville machines because it’s on sale so we bought it then I was the

Between Breville Barista Express, Touch, or Pro Black Friday 2025 deals, which model is worth it
I ended up getting the Touch when comparing the Touch with the Touch Impress, Express, Express Impress, and Pro. here’s my reasoning: Auto milk frothing: This has been really helpful because as a person who has never brewed my own coffee other than k-cups, I could just focus on learning how to dial

First espresso machine for busy resident [$300-$600]
Hi, I am also an incoming resident, congrats on matching! Have you considered any of the impress options from Breville? With the grinding and tamping all being a part of the machine and the extremely fast thermojet heat up time this might be more suitable for quick morning lattes! It’s likely the cl
