Immersion blender
I'd get the ATK recommended - Braun MultiQuick 5 at $60. It solves some issues that I have with my current Cuisinart immersion blender. Unlimited budget, I'd get the Vitamix ($145) or Bamix Pro 2 ($245).

Best immersion blender for soups and sauces? (Tired of pouring hot stuff into a blender)
The Braun MQ5 or MQ7 immersion blender is recommended by both ATK and Consumer Reports

Immersion blender recommendation
Doesn't matter how powerful an immersion blender is. The better ones permit adjusting speed. I have a 12 year old Cuisinart. Like the detachable blade shaft and head, hate the 2-button power on. America's Test Kitchen has preferred the Braun MultiQuick 5 for a decade, and from my experience, I can u

what’s the best affordable blender for a complete beginner?
I'd get a decent immersion blender as a first blender. Works nearly as well, can do things like blending soups in the pot or whipping egg whites that a countertop blender can't, easier to clean, and doesn't take up much room in a drawer. America's Test Kitchen likes the Braun Multiquick 5, which run

Suggest me a blender for 4 cloves of garlic. (don't like garlic press)
Braun Multiquick 5 Vario Hand Blender. You can get it at crate & barrel. Use the mini food processor attachment.

Why do minor kitchen tasks feel like they require so much equipment
A stick blender is small and can be relatively in expensive. The America's Test Kitchen Pick is the Braun multiquick 5. I have a cuisinart that cost half as much at cost o and its fine. I love my food processor. Its a higher end ine and pretty powerful. I use the slicing and grating disks all the ti

Blender suggestion?
I just went through this escapade. I wasn't ready to dump the money into a Vitamix, I may be moving across the country shortly. For what you want to make, which is primarily what I wanted mine for, I settled on two viable options. Braun Multiquick 5/7. I got lucky, Amazon had a glitch and they had t

What is the best or a good blender brand/model for making salsa verde/roja? Are Ninja or NutriBullet good? Bonus: Can I use KitchenAid for masa?
Get Braun multiquick 5 pro, 7 or 9 for salsa but I prefer vitamix , I just made adobo and the chiles just became liquid, my oster can’t do that. For mass the kitchenaid is ok 👍, if you have nothing I recommend mixers where the bowl spins like Bosch or arkhasum

The last two hand blenders I bought overheated. Was I expecting too much for it to work on cooked chickpeas?
I have a Braun Multiquick 5 and it does fine with hummus. Admittedly probably not as smooth as a food processor could do but I like it and it’s hard to be pat the convenience of blending it in the storage container.
