Bose customer service is incredible. I had a pair of non-aviation QC-35s that had to be about 8 years old when the switch failed. op if B&Ws are potentially in your budget, one unique feature about many of their headphones is the abbility to prioritize the connected device list for each headphone. I don't use this often but it is handy when I do use it. i also have the QC Ultra gen1 and I haven't done any app updates or FW upd
