Does anyone actually use Bluetooth adapters on planes?
The correct answer is NO. I tried Bose QC 35 ii and it just turns off when you plugin a cable in AUX. The over the ear does provide a lot of noice cancelling it's just not active.

Bluetooth devices connect, fail, and disconnect immediately.
Headphones I'm using are bose qc 35ii. I tried the guidelines for resetting them but they don't work. A guide and a thread suggest that it's a hardware thing which I may or may not be willing to do. If this is the route to solve it, it might be bad news for me. Edit: Managed to reset the headset by

Switch 2 Bluetooth audio Stuttering
On my Bose QC35 II it does the same thing. Randomly disconnects. Now I’m just using it wired, much more reliable the Bluetooth.

Any recommendations for Over-ear Noise Cancelling Headphones (for the SkyTrain)
I own the Bose QC35 ii and in eat Samsung Galaxy buds. Galaxy buds have way better noise cancellation and way fewer Bluetooth connectivity problems. I have the former to my wife. In ear headphones are also much easier to have on me for all trips.
