Life feels like torture right now. Wife is not working while caring for our now six month old. She is miserable. I'm miserable. This has been going on for months.

We got Bose QC 35 II. They work well. You can definitely still hear the crying a bit, but it's reduced in volume a lot. Which is nice. I'm sure others probably have better recommendations, though. They do BT. We have them paired to our TV at so we can watch stuff when she's sleeping.

white headset!

Ive had Bose quiet comfort 35 II for maybe five+ years now. The sound quality is amazing for music and FPS. Occasionally the muffs need replaced (maybe every two years or so), but overall, great headphones. Bluetooth and wired capabilities and the mic is built-in, so easy to just not use it.

Do you bring a headset when jump-seating?

Get yourself a Bose QC35 II with a UflyMic adapter. Can double as nice noise cancelling headphones as well as your jump seat set easy peasy. Light and multi role setup. I used them all them time when I was both flying and traveling commercially

Does anyone actually use Bluetooth adapters on planes?

The correct answer is NO. I tried Bose QC 35 ii and it just turns off when you plugin a cable in AUX. The over the ear does provide a lot of noice cancelling it's just not active.

Best reasonably priced noise cancellation headphones?

I have a love hate relationship with my over ear Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II's but they are nice and they have lasted a long time. The love is yes comfortable, yes noise cancelling, yes 99% of the time just work. Also you can get replacement pieces. I wish I had thought to look that up. I'll cover that

Headphones to wear?

Long time I used Bose QC35 II with(!) cable attached, to mix and master. That was kind of fine. But affordable are these not, but I had them lying around anyway. Later I invested in (actually cheaper) Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X, which are open and quite comfortable to wear. My Laptops internal soundca

Does anyone actually use Bluetooth adapters on planes?

For longer flights that have in flight entertainment systems, get a nice pair of over the ear anc headphones. I use the Bose qc35 II. They got long enough of a battery life where flight duration was never an issue, really good ANC, and an aux adaptor to plug into to the entertainment system. They we

Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra Headphones Gen 1 vs Gen 2 quick take

Hmmm, you're right, I guess this delay didn't bother me too much. My Bose QC35 II turns on within 1-2 seconds. Waking up from sleep mode is pretty instantaneous though, followed by Bluetooth reconnection within a second. I guess you can just simply take it off your head to put it into sleep mode, in

Daily Discussion Thread 12/02/2025

I’ve been rocking the Bose QC35 II wireless headphones for like a decade now. Comfy on ear, can wear them all day and noise cancelling is decent as well. I’ve replaced the ear pads like twice in that time, but I beat the shit out of them and sleep with them on a lot. They are somewhat pricey but not
