Anyone else kinda disappointed by the Boox “launch”?

I wanted an 8-inch monochrome device without BSR, 8GBs RAM, and 128GB ROM :c I don't understand the reasoning behind giving 8GB RAM to a 6-inch device (Palma 2 Pro) but that's just me

Palma 2 Pro, P6 Pro, Palma 2 - Warm light comparison

Is your picture accurate to what you see with the naked eye? It looks like only the Palma 2 has a pleasant warm light. The Palma 2 Pro has an unpleasant red tint and the Palma P6 Pro doesn’t even look warm, although it does look good. I wonder how the Viwoods Reader compares in temperature.

Palma2 Pro, Palma2, and Viwoods Reader

The color screen on the Palma 2 Pro is terrible, I’m returning mine. The display is dark, grainy, and the battery barely lasts a day because the backlight has to stay on constantly. Without the light, the screen is practically unusable. This shows that color screen technology just isn’t ready for ev

Interesting! The Verge got an early look from Boox at next gen Palma

Man, I've been on this month-long hunt for a new mobile device for myself, scouting all those distraction free techs. Remarkable, Onyx, Bigme, TCL, Hisense. Due to availability, I've decided to go with TCL phone, which isn't eink, but close enough. Received it this tuesday. AND NOW YOU'RE TELLING ME

Thinking of ditching my Boox Note Air 4C over security concerns—anyone else?

I used to have these concerns. Now Elon Musk has helped himself to our data and the "president" is in the Middle East negotiating a free airplane for himself and all kinds of business deals for himself and his family. All the tech bros are sucking up to him. People are being grabbed on the street an

Considering to return my Tab Mini C to Amazon because of chinese propaganda.

So I love the Palma 2 but also don't like in general how often it hits Chinese urls, so I am planning to do the dns blocking that others have suggested (Only allowing the things I want). I love the device and I only use for reading anyway. Don't like chinese AI, and the constant pinging. Here are so

Does 6” vs 7” make a huge difference?

My logic for 6 vs 7 is as follows - 6 for vacations with travel reading like in a train/plane/bus. And for home reading or at work 7/8/10 inch. But this is just my logic 🤓 Some people prefer comfort reading on bigger screen everywhere over portable and compact small form factor like 6 inch or phone

What’s your favorite e-Reader and why?

The black Onyx Boox Palma 1. I've had the white version for a long time and used it quite a lot, but I never liked the buttons on it. This summer I bought a black one for a good price when traveling. And it's so much better: the buttons are much better and clickier and the glass screen is a huge imp

What’s the most popular Boox device?

Unless someone can release Onyx sales, it will be just speculation.Considering the number of posts on this forum, these two, with Go 7, seem to be the most popular readers around. It makes sense: - The NA4C is the jack of all trades. Basically what you buy if you want to try eink tablets, but are no

Note Max under outdoor natural light

Interestingly, from what I see: From my earlier posts I have noticed that the Carta1300 background looks like darker than Carta1200, where I have compared the Go10.3 (Carta1200) with the A5X2 (Carta1300) , https://www.reddit.com/r/Onyx_Boox/comments/1hir604/natural_light_3_pm_local_time_comparison_sn_a5x2/
