I wanted an 8-inch monochrome device without BSR, 8GBs RAM, and 128GB ROM :c I don't understand the reasoning behind giving 8GB RAM to a 6-inch device (Palma 2 Pro) but that's just me

I just mean that as in the display modes seem the same. The Palma 2 pro has a weird effect in fast mode and it's on this one too. Which epd app are you talking about though?

I have both and ill say if you use the front light at all times then thats not gonna be an issue and the front light does seem less harsh which I wonder if the color filter just absorbs more of the light? The colors arent the greatest. It does appear more smoother when scrolling but I dont like that

That's the b&w one I have but none of the modes have that horrible smearing. What firmware version are you on? All of that is setup correctly and has nothing to do with the smearing, it's the firmware sadly. The Palma 2 pro also uses the same smearing thing while Palma 2 doesn't. It appears to be so
