BOOX Firmware V4.2 Beta is coming to Note Air5 C. EinkWise Code, New Calendar Memo and more!

How about improving performance of Notes, by using less data to store everything? According to the project in this post every note stores a lot of useless data about every stroke, way too much data. I believe that this way, exporting notes and probably most operations done with notes could be much q

BOOX Firmware V4.2 is here! Community-driven updates and a new thread for feedback.

We'd like to be able to disable pinch to zoom in the Boox Notes app. Otherwise it starts zooming randomly while we write notes. You removed the button that disables pinch to zoom. Why? Please bring the button back. I returned my Boox Note Max because of that. I do like the fast mode in v. 4.1 and af

Would anyone else like Boox to introduce more powerful 10" tablet? (8gb of ram, etc)

All the color Note Air devices are already faster/more powerful than the Note Air 2. But the B/w (better) version has apparently been discontinued because... Onyx.

Will Note Max get another update?

Works great? Wow. Here are just a few of the bugs I run into constantly: Worst ghosting I have ever had on an e-ink device (and I have a few). Every page of a document or notebook requires as full refresh (swipe) unless you are ok with all the remnants of the previous screen. This was made even wors

Any Pocketbook Inkpad One User?

Hello! I received my InkPad One about a week ago and have been using it for work (mainly reading, highlighting, & annotating non-confidential PDFs, but also some doodling while in meetings). I sold an Onyx Boox tablet that I had before this because, frankly, android was offering too many things and

Broken screen

I have a note air 3C, I think the philosophy of onyx is that the boox was created to be kept in a box

Deactivate virtual keyboard when physical keyboard connected.

Unfortunately, on devices with older firmware 3.5, this does not work. The ONYX virtual keyboard will always reappear on any interaction with the screen (tap) when a physical BT keyboard is connected. The behaviour is the same, regardless of whatever you have set the toggle you mentioned on. I menti

Firmware 4.2 on Note Air 4c or 10.3 Gen 1

That would be nice. I think you are being generous suggesting that there are planned upgrade dates. Has always felt like "the second we think it is ready." For out of support, closest thing is to go to the release listing on Wikipedia and add 3 years (except for NA5c and later, which should be 5). h

Can y'all help me understand some of the different technologies used in different Boox tablets?

Is "InkSense Plus" really worse than EMR? there is no straight answer to this because USI accuracy depends on a combination of screen tech and pen. the InkSense Plus pen is capable of accuracy on par with EMR -- better than reMarkable's USI anyway which nearly everyone accepts as being functionally

I'm thorn between these 2

The frustration is very real. This is why I have bought a new eink tablet seemingly every 8 months (Note air2+, tab c, remarkable paper pro, A6X2). I agree that software on the paper pro is frustrating. It also isn't as good for organization as it's competitors (supernote is the best in my opinion).
