.pdf vs .epub. What is your favorite file type for reading ebooks and why?
PDF for anything that isn't just plain text, or where layout is important. I also like that PDF looks good on my computer as well (for a lot of documents I'm switching between my reader and my PC), and that I can print copies of the PDF and have them look good. ... .epub looks hideous and destroys f

Thoughts on how to take notes that synch without having my Boox on hand ?
When I am out without my Boox because the environment will be a risk for delicate eink, I make new notes using StarNote on my Samsung S-Pen phone. When I get near my Boox again, bluetooth the new note I made on my Samsung. Import it into an existing notebook on my native Boox. *Reminder there is a B

Is the Viwoods AIPaper a good fit for me?
I presently own a reMarkable 2, Boox Note2, & an AiPaper. The reMarkable 2 has long been a staple in the E-Ink market, but it is currently hampered by aging hardware and a restrictive subscription model that gates basic cloud syncing features. With only 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, it str

Kobo Libra 2
Their devices are so nice looking, I really think the shape and button placement is the best planned of any line of ereaders. I replaced my Kobo Libra H2O that was getting on in years with an Onyx Boox Note Air 5C, and I’m really appreciating having a bigger screen and the ability to to install a fe

Help picking
Agree about escalating. Onyx Boox devices come in all sorts of sizes. The 7 and 6 inch ones sound like your jam.

Do you regret after buying e-ink tablet
I bought an Onyx Boox Note Air 2 Plus. I bought it and used it for my Korean class, which was great because I could practice writing Korean characters for hours without wasting paper. I also used it to take work notes for a bit. The challenge I had was simply staying organized. I tried to use a plan

Getting tired of reaching + tapping on the screen after every character for years (while writing), using a controller for input made things much more ergonomic.
I use an onyx boox note air 2 plus, bought it september 2023, bit before the note 3c came out. I'd say it feels nice, my eyes are a bit weak to LED screens. I mostly do anki at my desk, using a tablet stand in front of my monitor.

Will I miss screen real estate if I invested in a SN Nomad for my use case?
Boox NA2+ (Note Air2+) user here. The situation you are describing is a "you don't know what you don't know" conundrum. You don't already have an eink device, so you don't know if you need the increased real estate of a 10.3" device without having tried a 10.3" or smaller device to know what your pr
