What’s a tiny design flaw in an everyday object that quietly annoys you every single time you use it?

I swapped to an Onyx Boox from Kindle so i could take notes (school + work + old) and omg I audibly gasped when I saw both the power button AND charging port on the side so you could rest it upright while charging... never going back!

I‘ve been thinking about getting an E-ink device for University as a student. What are your recommendations?

Boox Note Air 5C, by far. It's the most complete and versatile eInk tablet right now.

I decided I wanted a new eBook reader for reading .pdf files. I wanted it to be high-quality, with a fast refresh rate, a color display, the ability to use a stylus for note-taking and a large screen. After a long search I finally have mine it’s the Boox Note Air 5C. It works great with pdf files

Boox Note Air series just keeps getting better and better. By bar the best ereader I’ve ever used feature wise and overall build quality.

My 13 year old wants an e-reader, help.

This is such a great gift! I also have ADHD and ereader actually helps a lot to focus on the book, especially with seeing how many minutes/pages is left in a chapter Main and most popular companies are Amazon Kindle, Kobo, Onyx Boox I don't advise to buy Amazon Kindle, you will be trapped in their e

BOOX support has been dragging my case for almost a month instead of giving a real solution

Dead zones on eink devices are not unusual. If Boox don't know what the problem is, then that says a lot about the company. It's a bad look. I won't be buying one now. I was looking at the note air 5c. It's expensive. Not going to risk my money

Why hasn’t anyone launched a Kickstarter for an 8-inch e-ink device that’s actually open source, with generous storage and no ecosystem lock-in? Feels like there’s a real gap here. If someone executed it well, it could seriously shake up the whole Kindle/Kobo duopoly.

This. I've tried a Onyx / Boox which is similar in the sense that it's not subsidised by taking a big cut of book sales. It was expensive, clunky, and had crap build quality in comparison to my Kindles. Not fun to use, even though I liked the form factor and features.

Hows NOTES on the boox go 7? As good as ReMarkable? Or as bad as the Kindle Scribe?

I haven't used the scribe unfortunately, but comparing my experience with the ReMarkable 2 and the Boox Note Air 5C vs the Boox go 7 I can confidently say the previous two feel much better and i was equally impressed as you with their feel (ReMarkabke slighlty better imo). The Boox go 7 is ok, it ha

Are eink tablets 'there' yet? For textbooks and note-taking

on the main part of your question, eink is giving a good answer. it starts to become more complex when you ask your tablet be a one device fits all. it s with some important downsides one catches say a boox note air5c to do everything an ipad would. now if you are more interested in getting the righ
