Note Air 4C

You could look into the Boox Air 4C and 5C. Make sure to look up reviews because Boox devices can have quirks and you cannot expect updates. In general I would recommend going with a 10 inch screen or larger for those types of books.

I picked up a Boox Note Air 4c since i mostly read comics/manga. I honestly don't see a need for anything else unless I pick up regular text.

This is something they do, and it's pretty annoying, but they do make good equipment... They basically make enough for complete run of a version of a product and sell it out completely before they move to the next version of the product. I have a Note Air 4c. I work in a tech retail store and we have the Remarkables on display - having tested both I can't say I felt that the texture of the screen on the Remarkable was any better than on the Boox which has a pre-applied matte screen layer (which I believe is true for the 5c as well).
