I am in a crisis
I have had a kobo touch (quilted back), kindle paperwhite 2018, Kobo Libra 2, Kobo Libra Color, boox palma, and now boox go 7 gen 2. Ended up returning the KLC (dead pixel and hated the color filter on the screen) and Boox Palma (did not have the patience to set it up, and did not use it enough to j

Help me avoid buyers remorse, please!
Living out side of the us, a Kindle is not recommend if you want to use your local library it will not work. Kindle and kobo are about the same, they limit you to only one book store. You can side load books on both devices, but it requires a seperate computer and a little knowledge. A android eread

Reader suggestions ❤️
Bigme and Boox are the big ones that are eink android devices. There's a comparison chart to compare models you can check out. Just plug in the devices. Compare Boox go color 7 gen 2 if you want color or Boox go 7 if you want monochrome are my votes. I have a Boox Go Color Gen 2, and it's amazing! I

Looking for an Android-friendly, open Color e-reader
For 7" i think the The Onyx BOOX Go Color 7 Gen II may meet your needs. I have an older BOOX, not this specific device. Generally I have found their devices to be well built. Software support lasts a year after release. Gen II was released in May 2024, so I expect the final firmware to be release th

Suggestions for non-kindle ereaders? Amazon is scummy and my experience with their support makes me want to never buy another kindle.
Boox go 7. I have the color version, but the black/white (non- color) should be what you want. I have had the Paperwhite, and Oasis. Kindle Keyboard 3g too. Now I have a Boox device. It's a Boox Go Color 7 Gen 2, and it's amazing! It's like a Kindle Oasis, Colorsoft, Scribe, and Paperwhite had an ei

I feel scammed, honestly... (Bigme B6 experience)
I went to Boox go 7 gen 2 and it’s the best device I have. I have a lot of kindle and Boox gives me everything including physical page turn buttons that work on kindle.

Questions about Go color 7 gen 2
Some of your questions can be answered by watching My Deep Guide’s comparison video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgr9tDI4vGQ He talks about the screen differences in the beginning of the video. Ignore what he comments about the white model’s buttons being defective/getting stuck— seemed to only

How many e-readers do you own?
I have several. Long story short I have a few for different reasons. I got a kindle keyboard back in the day in 2012 then my husband had me give it to his mom, because he thought I wouldn't read after having a baby which was wrong. Still upset about it. I got a Kindle Paperwhite 10th edition, and th

Color ereader, yes I know it wont be perfect, I still want to know what the best one is.
The gold standard would be the Boox Go Color 7 Gen II. Android based and has solid software and good integrations with third party apps. Boox has a good reputation, word of warning, buy from Amazon or a store that will handle returns. I read magazines on mine all the time, the color looks great. You

Kobo or Boox: Which did you choose? FAQ feedback appreciated.
I had a Kobo Forma (which i loved dearly but it started having issues so i had to replace it) and was looking to replace it with a Kobo Libra Color or Boox Go Color 7 Gen 2. I ended up going with the Boox because the fact that it’s an Android based device gives you access to Android apps. I read a l
