What’s a tiny design flaw in an everyday object that quietly annoys you every single time you use it?
I swapped to an Onyx Boox from Kindle so i could take notes (school + work + old) and omg I audibly gasped when I saw both the power button AND charging port on the side so you could rest it upright while charging... never going back!

Not today, e-waste! Boox sent me a new USB-C charging board for $6 out of warranty, can't believe it still works

Let's talk about Kobo and Kindle
I like this question. My bests have been PocketBook Verse Lite and Boox Go 6. I am curious about the Kobo Clara as well. The Verse Lite is my best because of all of the formats it takes (including NetGalley ARCs), battery life, dark mode and it supports multiple library cards. The Boox Go 6 is a run

Anyone has a non-Kindle e-reader? Which one do you recommend?
The 2 big non-Kindle brands are Kobo and Onyx Boox. the difference being that Boox is Android-based so you can download different apps while Kobo is a closed system like Kindle. It depends on what you want out of your e-reader. I personally have a Boox Go 7" (in black/white) and I'm a big fan of it

Лично я давно перешёл на ONYX BOOX. И очень доволен качеством... За годы сменил несколько читалок. И эти оказались самыми-самыми. Кстати, их модель в форм-факторе, близком к смартфону, тоже смотрел. Неплохо. Но обычный «планшетный» вариант более эргономичен

Haha, yes! That’s how much I love my Boox Go 6. 😂 The hardware is amazing, so I just couldn't let that one software annoyance ruin the experience.

I don't know how to explain it other than it feels like reading a real book. There is something about the screen not emitting light.
