There's a lot of people who obsess a lot over things and make that their whole personality. It's kinda wild. Anything with steel burrs is going to be broadly okay. Baratza, Varia, etc. That being said, I have some random Bodum Bistro burr grinder at home and, while it's certainly not the best grinde

Breville bambino - I can now say it’s dummy proof and good to go out of the box
I already had the bodum bistro burr grinder which I acknowledge is on the cheaper side for this subreddit but I couldn’t justify getting a more expensive one without trying out what I already have. Unless I start having problems I don’t think I will get a new one

Are burr grinders that necessary?
If you like what you make now, no need to upgrade. A burr grinder can definitely improve the consistency of what you make, though. The Bodum Bistro is a good one you can often find on sale at reasonable prices.

Where can I get quality ground coffee?
For drip coffee, I wouldn't get anything cheaper than the OXO conical burr grinder: https://www.amazon.ca/Brew-Conical-Burr-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B0CM9Z6HYF Edit: Wait wait this one's cheaper and also a real burr grinder! https://www.amazon.ca/Bodum-Bistro-Electric-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B0043095WW If you're

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread
Good news! If you like the Hario Skerton, you will be ecstatic about any other grinder. Just get anything. You have to dish up on what kind of coffee you like, what brewing method you employ, for a proper recommendation, though it doesn't matter very much at your budget. I will add the Bodum Bistro

Easiest brewing method for beginners?
Agree with this post. Chemex has been a part of my daily coffee routine for many years now. Started with a super generic electric kettle to build the water and a basic Krups spice grinder. To get a pretty good cup of coffee that's all you need. Side note, if you can swing it, I'd recommend going bet

Alternative to baratza encore
We have had a Bodum Bistro for about 5 years. It works well and has decent metal burrs and goes reasonably fine - not sure if it quite espresso fine, but we don't drink espresso. It's small and looks fairly neat. Costs about £70 Minor downsides are: it creates a little bit of mess (some grounds seem

Why do coffee grinders cost so much?
I had great luck with the Bodum Bistro burr grinder, $40 at Bodum, upgraded version $50 at Target. https://www.bodum.com/us/en/11750-01us-bistro https://www.walmart.com/ip/BODUM-Electric-Burr-Coffee-Grinder/202195188

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread
Hi, I currently have a Bodum Bistro which has worked relatively well for daily use for about four years now. Unfortunately, it looks like it bit the dust. It makes weird mechanical whine then an electrical buzz and shuts off. Even when completely cleaned out it will run normal but as soon as one add
