100% agree …..I’m the type that wants proof if you tell me something (yes I’m overly suspicious of people), so better to have a ring/blink camera. Like someone said below if a neighbor is vandalizing your peephole you will have proof if they try to do same to the doorbell camera. My neighbor had his

Officially Done with Arlo
I took down all of my Arlo equipment, which was 10 cameras and three hubs. I was having horrible problems with the software not recognizing that the three hubs are in different locations, so I could no longer arm/disarm each system separately, which was a deal breaker for me. I went all in on Blink,

Tweaker neighbors
The only thing that worked for me with the tweaker next door was putting up cameras everywhere. The alley? Yep. Both directions. The backyard? Two more, one records continuous onto an sd card. The front? Doorbell and blink camera. The alley cameras are literally the only reason the losers stopped us

New cameras
Your existing doorbell wiring doesn't power the Blink doorbell camera in any way whatsoever. I've had batteries that lasted well over 2 years with the 1st gen doorbell and it's been so far, so good with the 2nd gen. And that's with using both with a sync module. My advice is to not try to use the do

CCTV advice
I bought into Blink ecosystem a few years ago and it's 'fine'. Handy enough to install and the bundles are always deeply discounted on Amazon sales (Prime Day, Black Friday etc). I have 2 external cameras and a doorbell cam. The batteries need changed about once a year or so (depends on how much you

This is probably fine.
It's not perfect, but you can get blink doorbells with a sync module and have videos stored locally for free instead of in the cloud like ring. It's still owned by Amazon and probably only a matter of time, but if it helps someone feel safer now it is an option.

Home security cameras without monthly payment
I had an Arlo system for a while before switching to Blink and honestly the subscription is so worth it and reasonably priced compared to other security systems. Unlimited 60 day cloud storage for $12/mo ($4/mo if you just have one device) is really good imo. I'm able to live record, motion detect r

Looking for assistance on what to get.
As long as the bundle contains the sync module, you'll have everything you need. Download the Blink app to your phone/devices, install, and you're all set. Note: if the video doorbell is second gen and doesn't want to sync at first, it might be the same issue I just faced where the sync module didn'
