Add on camera failing to join sync module.

Exchange it. It’s most likely defective. I couldn’t add two brand new outdoor 4 cameras to my system a week after I added a brand new doorbell and brand new outdoor 4. The Blink tech team had me do the same troubleshooting steps for each camera with no success. I ended up returning them. I purchased

New Outdoor 4 won’t add to system

I purchased 2 outdoor 4s, one synced easily, the other would not, I tried everything. Contacted support but figured I would spend hours with them tells me to do everything I have already done so I sent them back and got the refund, then I saw that the new 2k were on sale and received them and both s

Blink outdoor 4 camera not working 3 stories high

The battery powered cameras, like the outdoor Gen 4, can detect motion up to 20 ft away from the camera, as long as that motion is created by something the size of a vehicle. I suspect your third story is more than 20 ft off the ground, not even including the distance created by the angle it's posit

However, the Blink ecosystem is designed for power saving as most devices are battery powered and don't want to wake up unnecessarily. My Blink Outdoor 4 will

Camera Automations

For a low‑cost, reliable outdoor solution, the Blink Outdoor 4 Wireless HD Security Camera works well and is priced at about $99.99. It offers 1080p video, two‑year battery life, and integrates with Alexa, making it easy to add motion alerts to your existing automations without tangled wiring.

How does the people recognition function work?

For non-blink cameras (like Reolink cameras) they use complicated computer vision to work out what a 'person' (or pet, or car) looks like. They often do it in black and white and if you've screened any privacy areas off they're excluded too to save processing power. They may also only do this on a f

What camera used in recording / streaming in a nestbox?

My friend does this and blink outdoor 4 or lower have been the best so far. I think the newest ones increased the minimum focal length so they are not as great for inside birdhouses. He has tried a lot of cameras and so far not found anything battery powered that is better than Blink. You can check
