I have eye strain immadietly from SVD 1.0. Not sure why. Maybe FRC? I can only use color eink (it is not perfect at all) as B&W eink give me immadietly eye strain from cold white panel. I can use B&W Bigme HiBreak Pro without any described symptoms only.

I think you are on the right track with en eink phone. I went with Bigme HiBreak Pro personally because it is their 2nd gen phone and seemed more polished based on YouTube reviews.
