This is more of an aesthetics & functionality answer than a best-business-practices one (though I would also like to see more companies with Fairphone-esc business practices of course), but I've been really fixated on this same question lately and this is the answer I've been gravitating toward: Har

After seeing countless reactions to the MP01, so much of the user's feelings toward the device are dependent on their expectations going in and what they hope to use the device for. 1st - Minimal Phone uses a generic e-paper panel, not the proprietary (and more costly) e-ink. It is lower quality tha

Same here, writing from my Bigme HiBreak Pro BW as a daily driver. Love it. I can't use modern screens because of blue light, flickering and dithering.

It’s absolutely impossible for me to use a “normal” display because I’m a chronic migraine sufferer with extreme photophobia. All my devices have to be E-Ink. As I said in the post, the video experience on the Bigme HiBreak Pro is impressive. And every E-Ink monitor has a video mode, so it’s clearly

I also was unaware on differences between B&W eink dispkays before I bought Dasung 25,4". I replaced for Bigme colour e-ink with other reddit user. I have eye strain immadietly from SVD 1.0. Not sure why. Maybe FRC? I can only use color eink (it is not perfect at all) as B&W eink give me immadietly eye strain from cold white panel. I can use B&W Bigme HiBreak Pro without any described symptoms only.

I received the device today with great anticipation and was amazed at how huge it is, but I didn’t care about that as long as I could use a proper smartphone again. Unfortunately, after five minutes I started getting headaches. I’m sending the device back and will have to stick with my Bigme HiBreak

I think you are on the right track with en eink phone. I went with Bigme HiBreak Pro personally because it is their 2nd gen phone and seemed more polished based on YouTube reviews. Never tried the Minimal but the main drawbacks were screen resolution / size (I wanted to replace old kindle as well),

Regarding Kindle books, I use a Kindle and Bigme HiBreak Pro (my smartphone as well). The android kindle app isn't as optimized as the kindle device is, page turning is slower and not optimized for eInk, that being said it's still usable. Every android app is different though, no reason why you coul
