E ink smartphones (Bigme Hibreak Pro BW). 1 month verdict.

Great write up, thank you!Another benefit of the B&W is they have way more contrast than the color eink panels. I've been looking at the HiBreak S B&W and it looks like they are back in stock. What made you go with the Pro over the S? Looks like its $249 for the S and $439 for the Pro on Bigme's web

What would a solarpunk smartphone with today's tech be like?

This is more of an aesthetics & functionality answer than a best-business-practices one (though I would also like to see more companies with Fairphone-esc business practices of course), but I've been really fixated on this same question lately and this is the answer I've been gravitating toward: Har

Made a video on my experience with the Minimal Phone if you're contemplating buying.

After seeing countless reactions to the MP01, so much of the user's feelings toward the device are dependent on their expectations going in and what they hope to use the device for. 1st - Minimal Phone uses a generic e-paper panel, not the proprietary (and more costly) e-ink. It is lower quality tha

(Not a promotion) World’s First Dimensity 8300+80FPS Large Dual-Screen E-Ink Phone is Coming!

i got the bigme hibreak color in a similar rush... i find sneaky that bigme pitches a product without even showing a video of the real thing. i am not buying anymore, as it feels they are just tasting the market with unfinished products.

My experience using the Hibreak Pro Color (2 weeks and counting)

Same here, writing from my Bigme HiBreak Pro BW as a daily driver. Love it. I can't use modern screens because of blue light, flickering and dithering.

Making do

The Palma 2 Pro feels more polished and reading-oriented with a color screen and stylus support, while the HiBreak Pro line is more versatile as a phone plus reader hybrid. If reading and annotations are your priority, Palma 2 Pro edges ahead. If you want full daily-phone capability in an E Ink devi

Switch to E-ink phone

I think Bigme HiBreak Pro, Boox Palma 2 and ViWoods aipaper reader are the three only good options

Boox Palma 2 Pro as Phone

Talk and text are hit or miss for me even after the update. Data has been mostly reliable. I'd be wary if you are getting it if you absolutely need SMS and phone calling as essentials. The phone and quality of the color are one of the best I've used, and eye strain is minimal so I am reluctantly usi

Any updates on Hisense A10?

Lol, no offense but I already owned a bigme phone in the past (HiBreak Pro) those things are atrocious. One of the buggiest, most broken pieces of techs I have ever used in my life. And the company behind it doesn’t even care to fix them. There are some bugs (like the android auto dpi bug) present s
