HD 650/ HD 6XX (same headphone, but a cheaper special edition from drop.com) are legendary for mixing and mastering. And for good reason. Check out this review that includes independent measurements by Sonarworks https://www.sonarworks.com/blog/reviews/sennheiser-hd650-review And then if you compare

You’re supposed to turn it off when you export. When you apply EQ, crossfeed, or room simulation to headphones, it’s only for monitoring. The goal is to work against an EQ target that translates better to other systems, or to have a stereo image that behaves more like speakers. So yes, it does chang

It’s not good. The target they aim for is too flat, it lacks low end, and it’s too bright for good translation. I used to use it, but every time I kept turning the mix knob down, until one day I was using less than 50%, so I thought, what’s the point of this? Also my mixes translated poorly everywhe

Kz edxs got me started into iems. I never wanted to try them because I remember earbuds hurting my ears when I was a kid. Then some $7 iems sounded better than my dt770 Pros. I think it was more about them being iems versus closed headphones used for music and gaming. Anyway now I have some kz am16

If it's the sliders you're talking about, then you can get replacements directly from Beyerdynamic if they ship to you. You can also find 3D printed versions as well on sites like eBay and Etsy. These are supposedly stronger than the original ones. The sliders breaking/cracking is a common failure p

Sorry, maybe the post was not clear enough. I thought you were referring to the mix sounding different after export because the process was left on. If instead you are referring to the process altering the mix while you work, so you cannot hear the mix in its original form, then I have to say that y

Sure. Crinacle Zero Red and Blue 2 both run under $70. Check out the measurements for them https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/truthear-x-crinacle-zero-red-iem-review.44865/ https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/truthear-x-crinacle-zero-blue2-iem-review.62

Regrettably the DT 900 and DT 700 Pro X models seem to have no end of materials problems. I got spontaneous cracking on my earcup on the DT 900 Pro X, narrowly within warranty, but now they're both out and I'm just dreading when they start falling apart. It's stopped me dead from investing any more

I feel the Pro X line has materials and design flaws compared to the older DT-880/770/990 Pro lineup and the Edition models. Gonna be honest, though I have always loved the Beyer sound, having my DT 900 Pro X spontaneously develop that crack by the XLR (even though they swapped it for me under warra
