I too have large head issues. I mainly used the Beyerdynamic DT990 (opened back) and after a while (3 or more hours) my ears will begin to have pain. When editing I have used Sony WH-1000XM3 for long sessions (6 hours or more) and surprisingly have never had any pain while using them.
