Get a dashcam with parking mode. Baseus has the VD1 Pro that has a tiny little solar panel to keep the supercap charged for events like this.

Which one should I get?
I’m using the Baseus VD1 Pro and it’s been great so far. It records 4K front and 1080p rear with Sony STARVIS and HDR, so details are really clear. Setup’s simple, just plug in the power, no hardwire kit needed. Super easy for a first dashcam.

Two pack or easily transferred between card - recommendation
Me and my wife actually share one dashcam right now. When we get home we just leave it on the shoe cabinet and whoever leaves first the next day grabs it for their car. We got the Baseus VD1 Pro since it does not need any hardwiring, you just plug it into the power and it works. The video quality is
