Recently moved and I had to work 10-16 hour days. First day off so I had to setup the station.

Nice! Check out the Baratza website I had the 30 and you can get the upgrade to dial in. Called: Adjustment Assembly for Sette 270 and Sette 270Wi. (I needed the shims too.)

The fun of getting coffee out is long gone ..

Espresso? You can pull a perfect shot of espresso at home without a $5k+ machine? And without a $1k+ grinder? Yes, I definitely can and do. I got a 1zpresso manual grinder for $160 and a Flair PRO Manual Lever Espresso Maker for $300. I make great espressos at home. Want an electric grinder? Go get

Grinder selection paralysis [budget $300~] help

If you want solid support and no drama, look at Eureka Mignon models (Specialita or same-range) or a Baratza Sette 270fits your budget and are made by companies that actually answer emails. Your current Baratza is fine to learn dosing, tamp and taste, but it won’t give the ultra-consistent fine g

Don’t buy Barazta ESP

I meant Baratza sette 270. You're referring to the hibrew range. I got a Baratza sette 270 in 30k and I think that's the cheapest for a really good grinder. I have used a Eureka Zero which is 45k and the sette is better.

Which coffee grind is best for gaggia classic?

OMG…my Baratza Sette 270 is so loud that it stops conversation in my neighbor’s house across the road. ;) But it gets the job done at an affordable price.

What's the cheapest grinder that will blow my mind after being used to Oracle Jet? [$700]

Short version: Baratza Sette 270 is the best bang for your buck to actually surprise you compared to an integrated grinder, Niche Zero is nicer but pricier. Budget realistically $300–700 if you want a real step up, anything cheaper will help but won’t “blow your mind”.

Are 'bean cellars' the best way to speed up workflow?

I feel you. The advantages of single-dosing are quite huge:(1) Beans remain fresher in bag than they do in the hopper(2) Day-to-day grinder adjustments are not necessary anymore (as the beans in the hopper keep degassing and, every single day, a slightly tighter grinder setting is needed to maintain

What is your opinion to start in this world?

From my experience and what I have gathered from research, the Bambino Plus and the Baratza Sette 270 is the absolute best bang for your buck that you can start with.

i knew retention wasn’t great…

i've struggled with the fellow opus for more than a year but eventually gave up - such a non-consistent grinder and slow af, takes forever for a double dose and needs very frequent cleaning + slapping around switched to a used but well-established grinder type, the Baratza Sette 270. difference is d
