Sage Barista Pro (built-in Baratza grinder) – worth upgrading to a separate grinder?
This was my path: buy barista pro, buy separate grinder for single dosing espresso and filter, realize barista pro is big machine for no reason now (and want to auto steam milk for wife), sell the pro, buy a bambino plus, realize coffee tastes the same in milk and almost no difference in shot when d

Top electric grinders on Reddit by positive & negative comments - for entry lvl espresso vs light roast espresso vs multiple brew methods etc. Based on 652 posts in the past year (Mar 2026)
Nice, but honestly the results look heavily biased towards what is common, available for a long time and affordable (most posts). E.g. a Baratza Encore really should not be at the top of a pour-over, light roast or multi purpose grinder list.

The amount of coffee in the body of my [Eureka Silenzio]
You should see my Baratza Encore ESP lol. Sometimes it is generous enough to share the coffee with me.

Older [Baratza Encore] still not fine enough after calibration
Also have Baratza Encore, I have never found it to be an acceptable grinder, I have switched to an Eurkia grinder, stepless, much better results. I know some Baratza fans will down vote this, however Baratza Encore was never an espresso grinder. I still use my Baratza for my chemex setup, which work

Baratza Customer Service - amazing!
Yeah... I had the exact opposite customer service, with the previous model of encore. Same burr holder issues. I had to change it 3 times. Each time, in the EU, parts were not available so I had to get them from Canada. Each time, shipment was 2 times the price of the part, and baratza ignored all m

Eureka Atom w65 grinder overspraying or force of flow too high? [Eureka Atom W65]
I also setup my new w65 this past week as an upgrade from a modded baratza encore. The encore with the plastic catch would always pull out some retention and make a bit of a mess around the grinder. After running the w65 for the first time I was a little surprised that there was still some grind end

If I get my first flat burr grinder will I miss out on ‘body’? (DF54)
I have a DF64 and Baratza Encore ESP. Don't overestimate the impact of the burr type. The beans matter much much more. Never lacked body on the DF if the beans allow it, but I've been missing clarity on the ESP for some beans. Don't overthink it, good beans well dialed in in any of those grinders wi

How much Grinder actually matters?
Just sharing the upgrade path i took. I got a bambino plus, and a non-esp baratza encore, both new. I got rid of the encore, and bought a well-recommended grinder from aliexpress for around 220 usd (starseeker e55 pro). I feel like i can dial in any bean (havent tried any light roast) which gave me

Df64, upgrade notable?
Are you moving from the Baratza Encore or the Baratza Encore ESP? I moved from the Baratza Encore (non ESP) to the CF64 (bought an open box model on sale) and it is a significant upgrade for me. It takes far less attempts to dial in the grind. That said if you don’t change beans often then you might
