Df64, upgrade notable?

Are you moving from the Baratza Encore or the Baratza Encore ESP? I moved from the Baratza Encore (non ESP) to the CF64 (bought an open box model on sale) and it is a significant upgrade for me. It takes far less attempts to dial in the grind. That said if you don’t change beans often then you might

The Weekend Brew - What are you making this weekend? (May 2026)

Turkish grind is the finest of all coffee types (literally powder), so it really puts grinders to the test. Honestly, manual grinders give you the best bang for your buck for Turkish coffee. Check out the 1Zpresso J-Ultra or a classic Sözen hand mill. If you really want an electric grinder, you'll n

Baratza Customer Service - amazing!

That’s the only thing I will miss from Baratza, their absolute legendary support. They sent me replacement parts for free twice, even after I admitted I broke one by my own stupidity. They couldn’t help me getting consistency from my Encore ESP though, so I eventually sold it. They did give me many

Shardor pro 64 vs Baratza encore esp

Don't go near the Baratza encore ESP. Horrible retention, horrible accuracy, absolutely piece of sh*t. I currently own one and am weighing up a Shardor or DF54. I have genuine hatred towards the Baratza

[Bambino Plus/Baratza Encore ESP] Grind/taste consistency

I used to pair a Encore ESP with my Bambino, and also never had consistency. It’s the grinder. It’s not as good as people say online. Since I switched to my Eureka Mignon Zero 65, I have perfect consistency. Same setting = same exact shot time. I’m sorry if this is not the ideal answer, but this was

Recommend a grinder to pair with Profitec Go please

Single dose grinder for the freshest grounds and no retention. Using a grinder with a hopper only makes sense if you’re pulling ~4 shots or more a day. I recently upgraded my Baratza Encore ESP to a DF64 gen 2 and upgraded to SSP HU burrs. It’s been a HUGE upgrade and now competes with grinders 2x-3

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread

Hmmmm you can probably check Fellow Opus as well. The Baratza ESP can still do coarser grinds for drip brewing but I know it wont be as good as a regular Baratza Encore. Or if you can stretch the budget more, the Eureka Mignon Zero is another choice

My mom wants an espresso machine for her birthday, what’s a good beginner setup for complete newbies? [$300]

I have both the Breville Smart Grinder Pro, and the Baratza Encore ESP. One of the few in /espresso that actually has both for proper direct comparisons. The Breville Smart Grinder Pro is easily the better grinder. The herd mentality of Baratza Encore ESP being the best low budget grinder is just fl
