Df64, upgrade notable?

Are you moving from the Baratza Encore or the Baratza Encore ESP? I moved from the Baratza Encore (non ESP) to the CF64 (bought an open box model on sale) and it is a significant upgrade for me. It takes far less attempts to dial in the grind. That said if you don’t change beans often then you might

The Weekend Brew - What are you making this weekend? (May 2026)

Turkish grind is the finest of all coffee types (literally powder), so it really puts grinders to the test. Honestly, manual grinders give you the best bang for your buck for Turkish coffee. Check out the 1Zpresso J-Ultra or a classic Sözen hand mill. If you really want an electric grinder, you'll n

Grinder first or Espresso machine?[600 USD] for whole setup

My understanding is that the Baratza Encore ESP is loud and the DF54 occasionally underpowered. The Fellow Opus 2 (avoid the 1) is in this same level. They'll all do fine, but eventually you'll want a better. I upgraded my initial entry level grinder (Fellow Opus 1) to a Eureka Mignon and it is so m

New Espresso Grinder and Machine from Crate and Barrel [$1000]

Do you want a semi automatic or a super auto, if a semi-auto integrated grinder or separate? If you want a super auto, and can chip in another 200 bucks, the JURA C3 is probably your best choice, they carry Miele but they're way over your budget. If you want a separate grinder/semi automatic then yo

Would you prefer a BUDGET 64mm flat burr grinder, or a GOOD 55mm conical burr grinder? [$250]

This is true also of the Baratza Encore ESP - I have had one for a year, and it absolutely has never ground finely enough. Almost. But no. Steer clear of that I would say.

Baratza Encore ESP grinding issues [Delonghi dedica EC 685 / Encore ESP]

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I installed a new Baratza Ring Burr Holder (6768). It is still undamaged, no broken parts. The rentention is crazy after changing this , but fortunately, no play. Basket is dozed by volume too. Ensuring theres enough space for the puck screen. Again, i've had decent shots

Some VERY dumb questions for anyone with patience for me (totally new to this)

Yes, you need a better grinder for espresso. I have a Baratza Encore ESP with the Bambino Plus, and I have the same problems. This is my second one, after they replaced it under warranty following an hour long video session with them sending it through tests. There’s no difference between my previou

Whats wrong with my machine

well...... i hate to be that one guy but this baratza encore model is not made for proper espresso. it is designed for drip coffee for the most part. they have another model for espresso called the encore ESP however, i'd look into a DF54 instead because it's muuuuuch better value. Espresso needs mi
