Anyone else waiting on a Bamix order still?
Bamix US SUCKS. I tried to return something but the return portal was closed, plus they never responded to my e-mails. It took a few weeks but I got it straightened out. A few years ago, I called to ask them about the Grill & Chill (it seems to be renamed "BBQ" now). I got this moronic Indian guy on

Immersion Blender EU?
Just look at the shape of it, the shape of the blade cover. You can get a 20eur blender that looks the same. Bamix open construction allows for better immersion. No whisk disk. No emulsion disc, no mini blender. Your Bamix has this beat by a mile.

Bamix whisk vs wire whisk
You're totally right, though half the reason I wanted an immersion blender is so that I have the option of not whippibg things manually, so it's a bummer that a Bamix gets outperformed by cheapo ones in this regard just because those come with an actual wire whisk attachment.

I have to say goodbye to my Braun immersion blender. I can’t complain too much- got it in 1986. Any suggestions? Any particular models I should look for?
In order: Robot Coupe (these are measured in horsepower, but cost $800-ish for the 18" model) Vitamix (best bang for the buck) BlendTec Why not Bamix? They simply aren't very powerful. Their best commercial blender only has a third of the power of the much less expensive Vitamix. I'm sure it's just

Best immersion blender recommendations? Looking for something durable and reliable
After using a variety of immersion blenders daily over the course of decades, we learned that they all have a finite lifetime (i.e., they all eventually fail). On the recommendation of a friend, we splurged and bought a Bamix. Worst .decision..ever. The Bamix, though it has a powerful motor, is the
