Bamix whisk vs wire whisk

You're totally right, though half the reason I wanted an immersion blender is so that I have the option of not whippibg things manually, so it's a bummer that a Bamix gets outperformed by cheapo ones in this regard just because those come with an actual wire whisk attachment.

I have to say goodbye to my Braun immersion blender. I can’t complain too much- got it in 1986. Any suggestions? Any particular models I should look for?

In order: Robot Coupe (these are measured in horsepower, but cost $800-ish for the 18" model) Vitamix (best bang for the buck) BlendTec Why not Bamix? They simply aren't very powerful.
