This has to be the worst A1 fire I've seen so far
I was aware that the NTC is a problem and I just waited for it to happen to my A1. And for sure it did happen. If I had seen the aftermath of OP‘s incident I wouldn’t have waited for it to happen but contacted the support right away. Here’s my post if you haven’t seen it already. I‘ll be adding a ph

There isn't a chance of a fire though unless the end user has done something like wrap their machine in a flammable cloth deliberately So then explain this https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1tgt4mz/this_has_to_be_the_worst_a1_fire_ive_seen_so_far/

My new bambu lab setup
The A1 is not designed for enclosing, you risk overheating the electronics. The A1 already has an active ongoing fire / meltdown risk, enclosing the A1 does not do it any favors. This is the latest example not even 12h ago https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1q2no79/bambu_a1_hole_burned_through_b

Dude, stop defending Bambu Lab's poor decisions on handling issues like this. The NTC problem is absolutely a fire hazard and they should be issuing a full recall for all affected A1's, which should then be professionally repaired and returned back to customers. BL printers are focused on a low barr

Bambu Lab A1 Fire??
Yes, the Bambu Lab A1 is the new Anet A8, never let an A1 print unattended. It has known electrical issues and Bambu doesn't seem to care that the A1 is a fire hazard. There are lots of reports of this happening.

How do I know if my NTC is good?
You have the older one. It looks fine now, but you'll want to keep an eye on that for thermal stress / cracks / wear and tear / etc. The updated version looks like a straight bar, without the round black component https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1q1git2/new_a1_without_the_failing_ntc_thermistor
