Buying a game controller for my smartphone has diminished the value of my dedicated handheld gaming device.

Well, yeah, you're comparing a 800-900 usd current phone with a 300 usd android handled lmao it will obviously outperform it I honestly feel the opposite way. I've been playing with my phone (a redmi note 13 pro+) and a G8 galileo for a year now, and I recently bought an AYN Odin 2 Portal. It's a cl

DAP manufacturers please make a handheld/DAP combo

I have two retro gaming consoles (Retroid Pocket 5, Ayn Odin 2 Portal) and a DAP (iBasso DX180) and to a degree I do understand that it would be nice to have both in one gadget, because it could surely be done tech wise, and I honestly think DAP manufacturers charge too much because they know audiop

Should I emulate or play original hardware

Emulate. It's convenient, it's free, and only collectors get a kick out of playing on original hardware. I'm an OG gamer from the 70s, and while I admit there's a little thrill in seeing and working with the original hardware, nothing beats the convenience of my Ayn Odin 2 Portal docked to my TV, re

Sold my SD Oled, kept my switch 2

Smart. I'm a huge fan of the Steam Deck and love mine. But when it's not the right tool for the task... buh bye. Switch 2 is a great handheld for new titles with plenty of power for a really enjoyable experience. Plus, if you want more than that, there's always Android handhelds and emulation. Tons

Logitech G Cloud: Logitech tipped to refresh popular gaming handheld following last month's limited giveaway - NotebookCheck.net News

I remain a big fan of the G-Cloud, but to "release" the device with nothing more than a color change is just bizarro to me. I'm hoping there's something more to this... higher refresh rate, OLED, improved WiFi (it is a streamer after all), updated processor. We're not talking about something with th

What is the cheapest handheld to use xcloud?

Ayn Odin 2 Portal is the best 7" Android based streaming handheld, starting at $249. https://www.ayntec.com/products/odin2-portal Asus ROG Xbox Ally is the best 7" Windows native based handheld, which also makes for the best streaming handheld. Especially when it goes on sale below $500. https://www

Which one?

I would look at the AYN Odin2 Portal for streaming. Bigger screen than the RP6 for similar cost. If you are set on a Retroid then the RP6 with the stick on top is probably your best option.

Is the $449 USD Nintendo Switch 2 the best deal in handheld gaming now considering it can even do 1440p-4k 60-120fps gaming when docked on optimized titles? Specially in a world of $800 USD Steam Deck OLED, $1300 Z1E Legion Go S and $2000 Legion Go 2

There are a lot of comparatively good deals in android based handhelds. The ayn Odin 2 portal, ayn Thor, Odin 3, and retroid pocket 6 all can play a lot with 120hz OLED displays for varying degrees of less money (or more for some of the highest spec models). The up and downside of a switch 2 is that

Guys…this thing is great!

That's waaaay to expensive. Go for a AYN Odin 2 Portal. It's just 250$ right now. Better performance. 7 inch OLED 120hz. And more.
