I've had Avantones and they were bad except for PA purposes, and have Auratone reissues which work better mix-wise. Those will reveal the sound of your amp because there's so little to them. Are you talking about Klipsch RP-402S surround speakers? Those are not intended for stereo listening. (And those types of speakers aren’t good even as surround sound speakers with the way multichannel codecs are designed these days. They should be regular direct firing (i.e. monopole) speakers.) Als
