My Secretlab Setup

Hey Expensive-Ad9021, thank you for the kind words! I would strongly recommend Audioengine! I've used their A5+'s for years for my vinyl record setup and these A2+'s and the S6 has been just another outstanding product from them. I think you will really enjoy them if you pick them up!

Audioengine HD6 alternative

I just sold my HD6s two nights ago actually. I replaced them with the ELAC Debut 63s and a WiiM Ultra Amp for an office setup. I have only listened to them for about 20 minutes so far, but I was happy. I started out with Audioengine speakers, the A5+, the HD3s, then HD6s, and loved them all but I do

Article: Legacy Hi-Fi Brands Are Dying Out as a New Class of Audio Brands Takes Over Published on February 10, 2026

Something like a pair of Audioengine A5+ for under $400 and a WiiM Plus Pro RCA into them, would be just the speakers and the small WiiM and come in around $600. Less, if on sale. Then get Qobuz or Tidal. Later, add a subwoofer, etc. as and if needed.

Looking for a Turntable setup for hopefully under $600

Audio-Technica AT-LP120 with Audioengine A5-plus speakers. Minimum NZ price at the moment all up about $1500. Look them up, both a perfectly compatible and plug straight into each other, no need for a separate amplifier!
