Help me choose between ASUS and TP-Link mesh systems
I have an ASUS BT10 as my primary router and BT8 as a node. I think it’s an excellent system, especially if you can hard wire the two together. I personally switched from TP-Link due to the possibility of security concerns, and also there was some discussion around possibly banning TP-Link sales in

Need help deciding
Personally have two asus BT10's. They work great and have had no issues with them. Initially had them wire backhaul but currently using them wireless backhaul. They are pricy but work great and won't have to upgrade for years

New Router Help - Recommendations
I upgraded to an Asus ZenWifi BT10 (2 units meshed) and it’s been working flawlessly for the past couple months. Have you considered the ZenWifi lineup? I think they fit nicely between the questionable and somewhat cheaper TP link and the admittedly overkill Ubiquiti devices.

Could use some advice on ethernet alternatives.
Yes, wired ethernet is really the answer. We use a wireless mesh here, works well for us. The ISP fiber optic cable comes into the back part of our house (family room) which is where my desktop computer is. However, the living room, in the front part of the house, is about 60' and a couple of walls

Dream Router 7 or Asus BT8/BT10
I agree. A 2-pack of the BT10 mesh units is $549.99 at Amazon right now. The 2nd cheapest price I see is an “open box” 2-pack on eBay for $429: For used hardware! TP-Link WiFi 7 mesh systems are cheaper, but they’re made by TP-Link - don’t like their subscription model for security features. If you

Mesh vs Router
Well, we have a nice mesh here in our 2000 sq.ft. house that's working really well. It's wifi-7, using wireless backhaul with MLO enabled on the backhaul, and that turns out to be really fast. I'm seeing full ISP speed on my wifi across the house on wifi-7 devices, and wifi-6 devices are also faster

Wifi upgrade: Orbi 870 or ZenWifi BT10
Between those two I would pick the ASUS ZenWiFi BT10, because it includes Ai Protection Pro for free (security features). With the Orbi you'll pay an additional monthly subscription fee for security features that, quite honestly, should be included in the product purchase price. However, I suggest c
