The 2026 Dell XPS lost 60% of its battery life (from 26.6 to 10.3 hours) simply by switching from a 1–120Hz IPS display to a 20–120Hz OLED, with everything else identical, including the same 150-nit brightness during the test. Which would you choose: longer battery life or OLED?

It's not like OLED or no OLED is the defining factor. Look at the Asus A14 Are they not different chips? The LCD has the Core Ultra 5 325, and the OLED model tested has the X7 358H? It's also not like OLED or no-OLED is the Achilles heal. The 325 Laptop scores 26.6hrs on the WiFi Test, but we have a

Tried to install linux but anciently deleted everything? What now?

you could make a arm64 windows installer USB on another system, and try to reinstall windows. then try again Personally I would not buy a windows Arm laptop and expect it to work well as a Linux system. at least not without a lot of research first to verify it's doable. It might be that device can't

ASUS increases Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite laptop prices just hours after reviews go live

Ceraluminum maybe more expensive but it certainly isn't that durable, as with the LTT test having the lid bending a bit too much for my liking. "for the S i'm seeing 1200p OLED for 16" which doesnt exist for the Snapdragon yet." Where? Notebookcheck has one review of Gorgon Point Zenbook S16 and tha

Rookie question Is there any problem getting a snapdragon processor for laptop for basic usage?

You're on r/snapdragon, thus there's always some bias towards Snapdragon processors. But to answer your question, yes you'll be fine, as pretty much all these Microsoft apps got their ARM versions to natively run on Snapdragon and perform well. However, I would be cautious going Snapdragon, as most

Move Over, M5: Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme Chip Crushes Apple in Our Benchmark Testing

The bandwidth is actually greater than the MacBook Air with M5 on the X2EE, but slower than an M5 Pro and way slower than an M5 Max. Apple's MacBook Air at the base config level is a really great value though, no doubt about that. It seems like ASUS could've competed with it had the RAM pricing situ

Bye bye Qualcomm

I don't get it. First of all, it's known that Linux does not run well on ARM so why try to force the matter? 99% of of Snapdragon consumers are buying it to run Windows, the one guy that I read on Reddit that tried to install Linux on his Asus Zenbook A14 and ended up bricking it. Secondly, the Snap

Asus Zenbook A14 with Snapdragon X2 Elite, 1TB SSD, 32GB RAM listed for 1600 Euro in Belgium web site

I think they read your comment, because they just increased the price to 2000 euro's ... crazy expensive. On the mediamark you can still buy the x1 for 1200 euro (and it has te same ram and battery life). I think nobody will be buying ASUS laptops in 2026 , they all got almost doubled in price... Th

Windows on ARM (Snapdragon X Plus) choppy 10-bit HDR playback, any fixes?

Audio and video out of sync. Then video lags, then it's wild wild west. For VLC same, but after a second (two max probably, video just goes gray). I'm using the asus zenbook a14 if anyone is wondering. I tested VLC, photos, Films & TV, Media Player, Screenbox.

They finally posted the US price for the Zenbook A16 with the X2 Elite Extreme and it's less than I thought

Best Buy saw the video reviews and is reading forums (or their AI tools might be) and based on people saying how good a deal it was, they increased the price right after reviews came out. Best Buy claimed (according to Marc Andrew David's review for instance), that the initial $1,599 price for the A
