Should i upgrade to 32gb ram?
ASUS TUF GAMING A15 laptop user here. I didn't only update one thing. I went berserk with FA507NVR and: - upgraded RAM from 16GB to 64GB ( officially supported 32GB, but hey... we did it in electronics shop anyway, until we have found ram modules that work with that machine and OS see them :D, and b

Ok mechanical engineering passout from sahyadri, 2023 batch. Here is everything you need to know. Curriculum wise: Mechanical is probably the easiest course to take, me and my friends used to study a day before the exams and easily ace it (we werent that good at studies). If you keep good relations

Why’s everyone buying 1080p FHD when 2k 165hz QHD with 100% DCI-P3 exists…
Bro, my Asus tuf gaming a15 fa507xi has a 1080p 144 Hz screen. And it looks amazing, the colors are very good on the screen. And plus, 1080p is better for more frames per second. And not everyone has enough to afford a laptop with a 2k screen. I do not like this post…

What job do you have to afford PC gaming?
VA. No not all of us earn 6 digits. Yes I bought an ASUS TUF A15 in 2023 for gaming while I do my job in my HP. No I did not buy in 1 go, its through installment. Yes it was all worth it. No I like desktops too as much as laptops, I chose laptops for portability. Yes my back hurts carrying these met

Would you recommend this for a PhD student interested in a laptop capable of gaming and has long battery life?
Staples has a similar a15 for $650 but it has 16gb ram and 521gb ssd. For $410 less, I'd get that cheaper one and then just upgrade the ssd and ram in the near future. https://www.staples.com/asus-tuf-a15-15-6-fhd-144hz-gaming-laptop-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4060-amd-ryzen-5-7535hs-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-wind

Whats the % of failures with Tuf models?
Nobody will know that percentage apart from Asus themselves, and that's even not counting things that were bought from gray markets and imported elsewhere so the repairs don't go back to Asus. My TUF A15 FA507NU turned two years old last Aug. Bought it Aug 2023 and no problems whatsoever. Even with

My Acer laptop just completely died no sign of life whatsoever
ACER always had terrible heatsinks, I'd seriously reccomend a Lenovo Legion of ASUS TUF A15 in the first place. Acer is known for this reason due to their cheap terrible materials which always burn. Hell I'd even reccomend a Dell over Acer anyday

so how is the performance these days, really?
Oblivion remastered are playable but distance view is set at 80. My laptop Asus tuf a15 rtx4060 ryzen 7535hs manage it better but series s is completely silent. Quality is low/good. Some games looks really great i.e. Cyberpunk, Gears 5, GTA 5, Avowed, Fallout 4, Assassin Creed (origins, odyssey, val

Computer Recommendations
Not sure about $400, but anything sold as a "gaming computer" within the last 5 - 8 years should be ok. It doesn't take a super computer, but you will need a graphics card. I'm playing on a laptop from 2021, but I did pay $1k for it back then. It's an ASUS TUF A15. Not the greatest, but I can play a
