I love my ASUS RT-BE88U WIFI 7 router paired with several ASUS RP-BE58 Mesh extenders. Just “marry” the extenders to the main router and in your case,use the RT-AC86U as one of the extenders. Good luck! WIFI 7 is almost 2X the speed of WIFI 6.

I use my Asus RT-BE88U with my 3Gbps service without any issues. Are you sure you were setting everything up right? All Canadian telecom, cable, and ISP's are pretty shit! It's because we are Canadian and there is no actual real competition.

What sort of speed degradations are you seeing? With my Asus RT-BE88U via PPPOE, I'm still seeing 3.2Gbps download speeds on speedtest.net, but I do see only about 1'ish Gbps upload speeds. I recommend just getting a router that your headset supports. Quest 3 supports 6ghz wifi on 6e, but you can probably get a great signal like I do (i live in a condo building, tons of networks around but still great connection on 5ghz via the Puppis S1). i personally use the ASUS RT-BE88U it has 2x10g ports one being a sfp+ port so if you have fiber there is no need for a modem and it also has 8 additional lan ports 4x2.5 g and 4x1g also its wifi7 wireless and i have had this router for a year now and it is amazing now your modem depends on your ISP
